Title: God's Covenant/Genesis 9:1-17
Content Title: God's Covenant
Text: Genesis 9:1-17
Key Verse: (Genesis 9:13) I have set my rainbow in the cloud, and this is the proof of my covenant with the world.
The sky and the earth sank in the flood, the water drained and dry land rose. It was a scene where only very limited living things were wriggling in Jixing, and even the creatures that barely survived on the ground were ahead of fear by the power of a huge disaster.
It is the moment when the sign of God's kind promises that appeared in the scene of fear and trembling rises as a great hope.
1. Meaning of Covenant
A covenant is a promise based on certain conditions and with a token. The rainbow in heaven, the Lord's Supper, and the wedding ring are all signs and seals of the covenant made by the pair. Every time we see this, we think of our own covenant. When you see the rainbow, remember your covenant with God. He swore that Noah's flood would never again invade the land, that his lovingkindness would never leave us, and that the covenant of peace would never be void.
The three things necessary to make up a rainbow give new meaning.
2. Clouds
The rainbow of promise shone when man's sin covered Paradise like a black cloud. When the Saviour's path is covered with dark clouds, a voice from heaven says that he will glorify God by his life. Look at the rainbow when sin, parting, and soul pain come upon us like black clouds. Although you may not always see the rainbow in pain, the rainbow is always there.
3. Rain
The raindrops catch the rays and make them invisible, and there can be no rainbows. Fearing evil is worse than enduring it. But it is clear that the raindrops of sorrow must first pour upon my soul before we realize all that God has in store for us.
When the traces of the sins of the past, which God hates, are washed away by God's stern raindrops, think of the purity of my body and soul that is washed away.
4. sunlight
It is only when God comes in our sorrow that we see the treasures of love and grace reserved in him. We will not know how great a blessing it is until we see it in the light of the king's radiant face. A beautiful story lit by a brilliant light creates a new color and world. Isn't a gray canvas the background that the artist's talent stands out for?
apply
