Sermons for Preaching

Title: God's Creation and Man's Cloning

Contents

I remember coming to Saegil Church around this time last year and preaching under the title 'Only Yahweh'. I was curious about what kind of content he preached at that time, so I looked up the sermons of Saegil Church, and found that he was mainly talking about the first commandment of the Ten Commandments. So today, I would like to share the message mainly with the second commandment of the Ten Commandments. Because the second commandment may not be directly related to what I am going to talk about today, but it is judged to be deeply related indirectly.

Nowadays, the problem of human cloning is drawing our attention. Will there be a way for women to be mass-produced without the pain of pregnancy and childbirth? Will it be a blessing to us humans? Will it be a disaster? After reports of successful cloning of sheep in England and of monkeys in the United States, everyone is excited that the era of human cloning is coming soon. Men and women with pretty bodies and attractive bodies are mass-produced, and they make a lot of soldiers who are good at fighting, they make a lot of people with scientific brains, and they make a lot of artists... If you think about it, the problem of human cloning seems to open up infinite possibilities and is a reality. It also makes me feel too absurd to win. In any case, it is clear that the 'borderline between God and man' disappears, gradually becoming the master of the universe, and it seems as if we have entered an era in which humans control the universe at will.

Through these activities, human beings turn all creation toward God, and only then can they have a right relationship with God as a precious being of God. (5) In the end, humans do not become ‘God-like’ beings who imitate creation by cloning animals or humans, but rather ‘like God’ by ‘nurturing’, ‘caring for’ and ‘caring for’ God’s creation. In this way, Genesis 1:26 does not speak of human titanism or supremacy. Humans only become strong and precious by caring for God's creation. is often shown as very weak beings.According to Genesis 2:7, humans are beings who received life from God through their noses, and when God takes this 'breath=breath', they die and return to dust.

Now the problem is clear. The question is whether human cloning or animal cloning will care for or destroy God's creation. I believe that life comes only from God and that this order is destroyed through animal cloning and human cloning. In the strict sense of the word, cloning is not the creation of life. Cloning is the cloning of living things. Nevertheless, the cloning of life has the potential to undermine and misuse the mysteries and graces of life. In this sense, animal cloning or human cloning is never acceptable from a biblical point of view. Humans are finite beings. You end up doing something you don't know how it's going to turn out. Although they are tales, the stories of the Fall, the flood, and the Tower of Babel all appear in the Bible, and they all clearly emphasize that human pride and desire to become like God drives mankind into disaster. We must realize clearly that the greatest calamity of mankind is pride and deification of human abilities.
