12) In him, through faith in him, we have boldness and access to God.
Our Dawn Church is the kingdom of God. There is God's rule in our church and God's plan and purpose. We were not a church. We were strangers away from God. The wrath of God was always upon him. They were people who had nothing to do with God, and they were children of Satan's curse and curse. Because we were abandoned Gentiles, we could not do our duty to God, nor did we have any laws to obey. We were literally “those who went their own way.” But God had a wonderful and secret plan. It was a plan to make us Gentiles his people. How can the objects of God's wrath stained with sin become God's children, God's people?
I. The gospel made it possible.
The plan to become the church and make them God's people was a way only God knew and a secret. The way was to make them the people of God “through the gospel”. What is the Gospel? He killed the Lord Jesus Christ to make atonement for my sinful sins and made them his people to those who believe in it. That was God's secret that He planned before the foundation of the world to save us who were Gentiles. (verse 9) God made us the church of God through faith in the gospel of redemption on the cross of Jesus Christ. Now, the status of the church (verse 6) has become God's heir, God's people, and God's inheritance. They also became retarded together. In other words, a new order, a new community, and a new family have been formed with Christ Jesus as the head. And they became partakers of God's promise. That promise was a blessing to become the source of the land and descendants and blessings given to Abraham. Only with the mystery of the gospel, God's amazing plan, the church, was accomplished.
Ⅱ. There is a purpose of God who established the church.
Now God has a work to do through the Church, revealing His mystery, the Church, through the redemption of Jesus Christ. That is something only the church can do. It is a task entrusted to the redeemed church only. God “wanted to make known the mystery of God's wisdom to the principalities and authorities of heaven (that is, angels) through the church. So the angels wanted more to praise the wisdom of God.” How is that possible? When our church becomes a church by preaching the gospel to the Gentiles again, the angels will exalt and praise God's wisdom. When the church fulfills its mission to the nations and shows the church living the life of the heavenly community, the angels in heaven see it and ask, “How can the same thing be possible with those who have been stained with sin?” It is to praise and glorify God's amazing wisdom that made it possible. God wants to be glorified through us and through angels.
The church is the product of God's wisdom, who made God's people lost in sin become one people through Jesus Christ. The church is God's mysterious plan, and the church was the fruit of God's earnest hope. The church is the joy and pride of God, and the church is a holy place to see the glory of God. Our church should exist only to reveal the glory of God to all nations. That is the purpose of God who established our church.
