Title: God's Discipline (Hebrews 12:4-11)

Contents

This text teaches an aspect of how God raises and trains His children in the world to be the glorious people of Heaven.

“God’s Discipline”

① God's discipline means to intervene, whip, and rebuke His children in order to fulfill the blessed hope of making them a good person, a capable person, a perfect person, a compassionate person, and a glorious person, both in this life and in the life to come. It will be very painful for him. ② Human beings who live in the flesh suffer from both the elect and the elect, but the pain that comes to the saints is pain for grace and blessing, and the pain of “punishment” that comes as a recompense for their sins.

“The Object of God’s Discipline”

① Those whom God loves. In other words, they are the children of God who have been regenerated through the redemptive grace of Jesus Christ. ② Discipline starts from the moment you are born again ③ You must be a target of God's love to be a target of discipline. ④ Workers that God will use and those currently being used are subject to disciplinary action. ⑤ “Therefore the Lord disciplines those he loves, and scourges every son whom he receives.”

“The Gravity of God’s Discipline”

① The severity of discipline differs according to the level of growth of a spiritual person. It is like being loved when you are a child, even if you slap your father on the cheek and urinate, but when you are an adult, it is not acceptable. ② The severity of disciplinary action varies according to the size of the position. When a regular employee and an executive make a mistake together, the severity of the punishment is the same. ③ The intensity, depth, height, and breadth of discipline are different as God’s love is in direct proportion to the strong, deep, high and wide.

“God’s Method of Discipline”

① He causes painful things to happen in the mind, body, family, material, and environment. ② He strengthens the power of the enemy and uses it as a rod of punishment. When fleshly Israel sinned, he used it as a club to strengthen Babylon and Assyria. ③ When the Soviet Union was a Christian country, but it fell and became a Christian Musilon and materialist, he strengthened the Communist Party, the leader of Musilon and materialism, and persecuted Christianity.

“The Purpose of God’s Discipline”

① To deliver us from destruction, God said, “It is good for me to be afflicted, so that I may learn Your statutes” (Psalm 119:71), because the saints were blocked by the pain of thorns and walls as they headed for the road of destruction. . ② In order to live in greater obedience to the Father ③ For our benefit ④ To make us partake of God's holiness ⑤ To bring forth the peaceful fruit of righteousness He disciplines us.

“The attitude of those who are disciplined by God”

Since the Lord said that he will discipline those he loves, ① Have a heart of gratitude for being the object of God’s love and interference ② Repent ③ Don’t take discipline lightly ④ Don’t be discouraged ⑤ Be patient ⑥ Be more submissive and respectful will have
