Title: God's Feast, God's Worship
Contents
This Heavenly Hope Church delivered the sermon for the Sunday worship service on July 3, 2011 for 2-3 weeks as a sermon and lecture on the feasts, and the sermon was delivered according to the decision of the session.
It is difficult to see it as a sermon.
It seems that the Oriental Award will be ready in about two weeks.
Good luck this week....
Main text: Deuteronomy 16:1 - 22
Subject : God's Feasts & God's Worship
Today is “Thanksgiving Day” Sunday. Why do all the churches around the world, not just our Korean church, want to keep Thanksgiving Day? Some anti-Christians even say: “In order for the church to go crazy with money and rake in money from its members…” Do you guys think so too?
If there are people around you who ridicule the Church in that way, have mercy on them and pray for their souls. The Bible speaks of our duty to preach the gospel and pray for them to the end.
【Romans 15:9, easy】 『So the Gentiles were able to glorify God for God's mercy. It is written this way in the Bible. “Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles, and I will praise your name.”
【Romans 15:10, easy】 『It is also written like this. “Rejoice, Gentiles, with the people of God.”
【Romans 15:11, easy】 『There are also these words. “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles. Praise him, all you people.”
【Romans 15:12, easy】 『Again, Isaiah said this. “From the root of Jesse comes one who will rule over the Gentiles. The Gentiles will put their hope in him.”
【Romans 15:13, easy】 “When you trust in God, may the God of hope fill you with all joy and hope, so that you may be filled with hope and overflowing with the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Those who do not know God are a class of “gentiles.” We must not forget that Paul's ministry, which he labored for them, is the ministry of the church in this age. Let's get to the point.
As I was preparing for today's sermon, I was a little worried whether I would be able to finish this sermon in one week. Of course, we can only convey the meaning of Thanksgiving Day. However, this is because the Feast of Harvest has a very important meaning in the Bible. So, I felt the need to preach on the Feast of Harvest Festival for 2-3 weeks in a row, including today. Today's sermon may be a little difficult, but if you slowly read and understand the Bible with me, you will be able to feel God's grace and love.
1. What is the Harvest Festival?
The word Feast of Harvest appears only once in the Bible. Of course, the saints should know that there are words that are used with the same meaning as the Feast of Harvest. However, it means that the word “maekchujeol” appears only once in the Korean Bible. Where did the Korean Bible first and last use the word “maekchujeol”?
【Exodus 23:16, Easy】 『You shall observe the Feast of Harvest. Offer me the first of the crops you sow in the field. 』
If so, I want to look at the meaning of the Feast of Harvest Festival.
1) Mac ☞ Barley Mac
2) Autumn ☞ Autumn
3) So, if you combine the meanings, you can even say “autumn barley”.
4) However, in Korea, where Chinese characters are influenced, the word “chu” is sometimes used as “fruitful chu”.
There are things I want to remember for a moment and move on.

2. What is the most basic meaning of the feasts?
I want to see Exodus 10:9 and Leviticus 23:2 together.
【Exodus 10:9, Rev.】 "Moses said, "We will keep a feast before the LORD, and we will bring men and women, young and old, sheep and cattle.
[Leviticus 23:2, Rev.] “Speak to the children of Israel, saying, These are my feasts;

♥ The meaning and theology of the Passover
1. The Passover begins on the 14th day of Abib (Exodus 12:6).
☞ The month of Abib is not (month). It is a word that denotes 'time'.
2. Sheep are caught at about 1pm.
3. Cut the internal organs, leather, and extremities along the joints without breaking the bones.
4. The owner of the sheep bakes in the evening.
5. Eat supper and unleavened bread.
6. Look at the Passover Lamb JX in 1 Corinthians 5:7!
♥ Meaning of seasons
1. Passover ☞ The death of JX (Exodus 12:6).
2. Feast of Unleavened Bread ☞ Fellowship of JX (Exodus 12:17)
3. Feast of Firstfruits ☞ Resurrection of JX (Exodus 34:22)
4. Feast of Weeks (Pentecost) ☞ JX and God the Holy Spirit’s mission shift
(Exodus 34:22 / Acts 2:1)
5. Feast of Trumpets ☞ Advent of JX
6. Day of Atonement ☞ Atonement of JX (See ‘Azazel’ in Leviticus 16!)
7. Feast of Tabernacles ☞ Judgment of JX (Leviticus 23:34)
It was the last festival of the year and was considered a great feast, but the Feast of Tabernacles was just mentioned as a Jewish festival (John 5:1). Ecclesiastes was read in the synagogue, and great sacrifices were made day after day in the temple. Also, on the day of the end of the feast, a prayer for the grace of rain and dew was held, and water was drawn from the pool of Siloam and poured on the altar every day (John 7:37-38). It is meaningful that Jesus Christ preached the water sermon on this day (John 4).
♥ Difference between Jewish and Gentile understanding of festivals
The stranger makes a feast after the incident.
For Jews, after God's proclamation of feasts, ☞ events occur.
1. Jesus had dinner on Thursday evening with his disciples.
(Matthew 26:17)
2. Jesus is arrested on Friday morning and is nailed to death by crucifixion.
♥The disciples and women strictly observe the Sabbath and go to the tomb of Jesus on the first day after the Sabbath. How did the disciples understand the relationship between Jesus' death and the Sabbath?
3. The day Jesus was resurrected (Dawn, Luke 24:1)
4. The dawn of the resurrection of Jesus is the time to offer the “Feast of Firstfruits sacrifice”.
Look at Paul's 1 Corinthians 15:20!
1. How does the Feast of Firstfruits begin? (Leviticus 23:10,11 based on Deuteronomy 16:9)
2. The concept of farming?
Feast of Unleavened Bread, Feast of Firstfruits, Feast of Weeks, a sign of thanksgiving.
3. After the Feast of First Fruits, the next day after keeping the Feast of Weeks? Pentecost
Feast of Unleavened Bread 1
For 7 days from the day after the Passover, it is a feast to bake and eat unleavened bread.
Feast of Unleavened Bread 2
1. Feast of Unleavened Bread: Religious Concept
2. Religious concept?
In other words, it means a feast related to salvation, meaning it is related to life.
