God's gift

Ecclesiastes 3:11-13

A parrot has been fond of rooster crowing since childhood and likes to imitate it, imitating rooster crowing and making it sound like a real rooster. So the parrot was always praised. One day, a group of birds in the woods gathered and heard all the praises of the owl's singing voice, and I couldn't stand it. From then on, the parrot began to practice the oriole song. Let's see where we can put it, because I'm going to make it sound better than the sound of an owl However, no matter how hard I tried, it was not enough to sing like an oriole. The parrot would make a chirping sound, so when I asked you to listen, everyone avoided it and hated hearing it. The parrot abandoned God's gift and became a loner. Parrots should sing in parrot sounds. What is God's gift to man?

It is to turn hard work into pleasure.

God spoke to the first man, Adam. “… … .You shall toil all the days of your life, and then you shall eat of its fruit” (Genesis 1:17). Because valuable things can be obtained through hard work. Hard work is the most severe and difficult work. It means that you sweat and work until you are exhausted. It is hard work to pour out all the strength and energy that one has to the last drop. It is hard work for an athlete to train hard.

“We also knew that it is the gift of God that everyone eats and drinks and finds pleasure through hard work (verse 13). Those who make fun of playing are poor. It is a gift from God to work hard for a living. You cannot have a cute baby without the labor of childbirth. For the birth of a new life, we have no choice but to endure the pain of childbirth.

“There is nothing better for a man than to be happy in his work, for it is his part” (Ecclesiastes 3:22). The Bible says, “… … .It is a gift from God to rejoice in hard work” (Ecclesiastes 5:19). To work hard means to work hard. When you want to accomplish something, you have to drip sweat. You have to work hard and work hard. They say “the labor of love”. To love is to work hard. Because we love, we endure pain and suffering, and we endure and wait. We must be prepared to work hard to fulfill our duty of love. Hard work brings many benefits to those who work hard. Glory comes after hard work.

If a student gets good grades without the hard work of studying, he may be getting points from cheating. The psychology of lottery buyers is that they want big money without effort. A person who is addicted to gambling is also a person who dreams of making a lot of money without much effort. The devil tempts people. “You can make a lot of money without effort in a simple way” That is a lie. Behind the law of making money in a short period of time, there is a way to the prison.

Jacob is a successful man on the ground with empty hands. The reason he was rejected after 20 years, who left with a cane when he left the house, is because he made hard work a pleasure. “I spent the day on my knees in the heat, and at night I was cold, and there was no time to close my eyes. He said, “God has seen my affliction and the toil of my hands” (Genesis 31:40, 42).

A “pure rich” is one who makes his hard work a pleasure. There is a saying, “the bread of toil”, and “you shall toil all the days of your life to eat of its fruits” (Genesis 3:17). This is the word given to the first man, Adam. If you don't work hard, you can't eat rice cakes. To eat well and live well, you have to work hard. Whatever a man sows, he reaps what he sows. If you sow much, you will reap much; if you sow little, you will reap little.

“You will eat according to the toil of your hands, and you will be blessed and prosper” (Psalm 128:2). Toil is a gift from God. Please enjoy your hard work as a pleasure.

It is to rejoice and do good.

Comedian Mihwa Kim is a church deacon. He wakes up every morning and has a saying. "I am happy!" If I put the word ‘happy’ at the fore, it is said that happiness controls the day. His job is to make people laugh. What he always thinks is how to make people laugh? Sitting or standing, I only think about funny things. After he died, he even built the words to be engraved on the tombstone to be put up in front of the tomb, saying, “It was funny, but it was a joke.” It was funny and he died. makes sense. As you know, people have a limited life. There are people who laugh and stumble, and there are people who stumble and cry. There are people who cry and there are people who laugh. Those who rejoice and do good are those who have received the gift of God. May you all live happily and do good.

“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful, but delight in the law of the Lord, and meditate on it day and night. It bears fruit and its leaf does not wither, so all your events will prosper. (Psalm 1:1-3) Blessed are those who enjoy the word of God and live their lives. If you live with joy in the word of God, all things will prosper.

Look at verse 12. “I knew that there is nothing better than doing good while rejoicing in a person's days.” If you live each day rejoicing, you are living the best life. That person is truly a gift from God.

A man had a habit of taking off his clothes and throwing them everywhere. No matter how much she nagged, it was of no use. Then one day I saw my husband throwing his naked clothes into the laundry bin. At that moment, my wife inadvertently said, “Goal goal, were you a basketball player?”

After that, my husband started shooting instead of the ball with the laundry. It didn't go in and ran and threw it again. Because men are like children.

I hope you enjoy each and every moment. “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:6-18)

How can I live a better life than I am now? It is to be happy and to live. What makes you a better person? doing good. Doing good to someone who can't pay them back. A person must have a focus to contribute. People grow according to the goals and standards they set for themselves. When you have pride that what you are doing is right and good, passion and sincerity arise. It's about what you live for and enjoy.

Thirty years ago, I saw a mother who had no daughter and only a son and said that she would be full even if she did not eat. It's completely different these days. Half of housewives think it's okay to not have a son. Needing a son is one in ten. A prosperous son is the son of the state, a wealthy son is the son of an in-law, an ugly son my son, a son is second-degree when giving birth, eight-degree when he is in college. . In Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam, there is a so-called Mother-in-law Hotel. Occasionally, when my parents-in-law go to Tokyo from my hometown, they take me to a hotel, saying it is annoying. If you live your life with your son as an object of joy, you will be in great disrepair. Live with God as your object of joy. Your soul is happy and content. When the soul prospers, all things prosper. Rejoicing and doing good is a gift from God.

It is a heart that longs for eternity.

It is God's gift to live a life of hard work, and to live with hard work as pleasure. What greater gift could there be than this while living on this earth? But you must not stay here. Life doesn't stop once you go. Life has this life and there is an afterlife. The evangelist Paul said that if life is only this life, we are poor. There is death, there is heaven and there is hell. Among God's gifts, the heart of longing for eternity is the greatest and most precious gift. “… … .And he has given man a heart to long for eternity... … .” (verse 11)

Eternity is God's term, not man's. Nothing is permanent for man. Nothing is permanent in this world. Life is short, even if you live 70 years, 100 years and 120 years are like morning mist.

“Life is a traveler, where do you come from and where are you going? Floating like a cloud, let's not leave it alone on the way, let's not leave it alone with regrets... … .”

“What is your life? It is a mist that appears for a moment and then disappears” (James 4:14). Compared to eternity, it is like a flying arrow.

These words are engraved in the auditorium of Urban University in Rome. “And then, then, and then eternity. Forever” There is a history of those words engraved there. There was a senior at that university who was studying law in high school.

I couldn't pay my last tuition, so I went to a rich old man named Phillip Naar and asked for help. The old man asked the student. If I gave you money, what would you do with it? First, you must graduate from law school. After that? I will become a lawyer. And then what? I will build a house. And then what? I will prepare the carriage. And then what? I have to get married. And then what? You have to have children and educate them. And then what? Are you getting older? And then what? The student could no longer answer. The student was lost in thought. One day I'll stop breathing When my skin cools to a cold corpse, there will be a funeral, and a grave will be added to the cemetery. The old man said to the student who did not answer.

And next time? it is death And then there is the referee. And then forever. If you believe in Jesus, you are in eternal heaven, and if you do not believe in Jesus, you are in eternal hell!

The difference between humans and animals is that humans have a longing for eternity and animals do not. Dogs do not know their origin or age, they just live. If you know that, you're not a dog. A life that is lived regardless of eternity The “quessera life” ends with eating, working, sleeping, repeating this every day. Augustine said, “It is not that we live well in this world that is important to man, but that we live forever.

The most important time in this world is neither the past nor the future, but the present moment. Today is the best day of my life. No matter how you have lived up to now, from now on, you will live well. It is living with hard work as pleasure. Focusing on the right thing to live in the present moment. It is to rejoice in good works and live. Learn from the past and let it go. Then it's better now. In order to live a better today than the past, we must clear the past. You cannot change the past. But you can learn from the past. We can think differently today and act differently.

Forget about the past and hold onto what lies ahead. Making plans for the future reduces the worries and anxieties of the present. Everyone, picture the future you want now. It means set goals and plans to achieve them. What are you going to do today to do that? It is believing in Jesus. First of all, go to church. The plan must be realistic. You need to be able to put it into practice and act right away. I hope you enjoy the gifts you have already received. I hope that you will become citizens of the kingdom of heaven with a longing for eternity. Look to eternity. There is a road to eternity. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6).
