Title: God's Goodness

God's goodness

Text: Psalm 100:1-5

“Sing joyful praise to the LORD, all the earth. Serve the LORD with joy, come before him with song. Know that the LORD is our God. He is our Maker, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. enter his gates with praise; enter his courts with praise; give thanks to him and bless his name; for the LORD is good; his lovingkindness endures forever; his faithfulness endures from generation to generation.”

One day I was meditating on the disposition of God.

'Why does evil exist in this world? It was a meditation on the goodness of God that came from the question 'Why did evil arise?' The Bible says that evil entered the world through one man's sin. Countless thoughts create confusion and confusion in our minds when we find it difficult to make rational decisions in situations we don't understand. The knowledge and experiences accumulated over the years collide with each other, and a fierce internal battle takes place.

But at some point, I felt a clear and distinct reality of God's goodness.

That God is good, and that not even the smallest shadow of evil can exist...

The God of the Bible is understood as a person who cannot tolerate sin, but because God Himself is the body of goodness, He cannot dwell with evil. After realizing this, I came to understand that God is angry with God whenever sin is rampant in the nation of Israel, whom he made God's people, and who hates the unclean actions of His people.

God's goodness contains God's justice and God's love. We know that the cross of Jesus Christ is the greatest evidence of satisfying God's justice and conveying God's love. This bloody cross must always be engraved in our hearts.

Like the blood of the Passover lamb, the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from sin so that we may come to the good God. Delivers you from all unrighteousness. Therefore, looking to the goodness of God should be the foundation of our faith.

“Hallelujah, give thanks to the LORD, for he is good and his lovingkindness endures forever. Who can speak of all his might, and proclaim all his praises? Blessed are those who keep justice, and those who always do justice. remember me with your grace, and watch over me with your salvation, that I may see that your elect prosper, that I may share in the joy of your kingdom, that I may boast of your heritage” (Psalm 106:1-5).

“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good and his lovingkindness endures forever” (Psalm 107:1).

In 1 Kings 17, Elijah believes in God's goodness and completely obeys God's command, which is absurd, incomprehensible, and perplexing. And that obedience became his power.

God, the source of goodness, protects and blesses those who obey him.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and show you favor” (Numbers 6:24-25).

As the poet confesses in the text, the LORD is our God, he made us, we are his, his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Therefore, as the poet confesses, we are to sing joyful praises to the LORD, serve the LORD with joy, come before him with singing; enter his gates with thanksgiving;

For the LORD is good, and his lovingkindness endures forever, and his faithfulness goes on from generation to generation.

If we look at our lives, it is clear that God created us, and we are His, His people, and His sheep, so God is in control and directs our lives. It is an undeniable fact that God created us, we are God's, we are God's people, and that we are God's sheep. Perhaps we do not have the knowledge of Christ?

What exactly is true knowledge? Knowing with knowledge, knowing with the mind, knowing with the heart, and knowing directly through compassion are all knowledge. Does the Christ we know know by knowledge? Do you feel it with your heart and mind? Or, do you know through direct encounters? When we say we know Christ, there seems to be a huge difference between the knowledge we know and the knowledge that God knows us. How can we compare?

All I do know is that God created us, that God is good, He is our Father, He makes us a people, and He directs and directs our lives. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, God leads me on the best and most beautiful way. But there are many times when I am not able to obey the way because of my stubbornness and stubbornness.

All I can do is enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise, to give thanks to him and bless his name... Only to rejoice and rejoice in the LORD

“Taste and see that the LORD is good” (Psalm 34:8).

First of all, I thought that I would not be able to tell anyone else who Jehovah is unless I taste the goodness of Jehovah in my life. If I fully taste and know Him first, I will be able to convey the taste of God's grace to them as well.

David said to those in trouble in his own experience, “Taste and see that God is good.” If there are travel destinations that are so beautiful and thrilling, I may introduce them here and there because it is a waste to feel it alone. So, good destinations are introduced by travel agencies and presented as travel products so that everyone can experience them. It's just an ordinary place where many people don't come. In some neighborhoods, people flock to them because they introduce a variety of experiences that they can experience.

The experience of God's grace! If what I've been through is such an amazing experience, we should be able to brag and introduce ourselves. Only then will it be preached, and only then will they hear the news and come. David said, “Taste and see that the good God is.” He said, 'You too, and those who are in need, taste and know the God that he experienced. Those who take refuge in the LORD! Those who fear the Lord will taste the grace of blessing and a life without lack.” Those who are afraid of God's goodness, those who are in tribulation, and those who have a broken and mourning heart, will experience the grace of God's salvation by walking with them.

Psalm 23 says, “The Lord is my shepherd, I will not want… Goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

David also tasted and knew the goodness of God, so that he could confess that his life, in the midst of pain and suffering, “I shall not lack.” No matter how healthy and young you are, if you can't eat and go hungry, you will have no strength. Even a young lion can starve in need. But those who seek the Lord will enjoy the grace of God and live a life of satisfaction. In his goodness the Lord God sends sunshine and rain to all peoples, and brings justice and mercy to us, and tells us to “learn to do good, to seek justice, to help the oppressed, to plead for the orphan, to plead for the widow” (Isaiah 1: 17) Yes, a good God delights in us doing good. Therefore, we must do good on this earth according to the will of God, who is the source of good. There is nothing better than rejoicing and doing good while a man lives (Ecclesiastes 3:12). To those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, he brings eternal life (Romans 2:7), and he rewards them for their good deeds (Proverbs 18:17). please make it happen.

“Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but imitate what is good. The one who does good is of God, and the one who does evil has not seen God” (3 John 1:11).

Also, in the text, the psalmist showed us what kind of attitude we should have before the holy God. It also teaches us what kind of spirit Christians should worship today. Truly, we should go forth with joy and thanks to the good God who is the object of right worship, to meet God, receive God's blessings, and live for God's glory and love God.
