Title: God's Great Works
Contents
When the Israelites were slaves to Egypt, God appeared to Moses. And he says that I am the LORD, and that I will lead this people out in the future. The exodus of the Israelites from Egypt begins with the announcement of the existence of God.
1. God's people need training.
Why is God leading this people? Because if you let it go, there is no hope. This is because these people have to depend on God to live. So he brought them out, and the people of Israel came out of Egypt. So are you done? no. This is where it starts. The training process has begun. Being a soldier doesn't happen automatically by wearing a military uniform. Training takes place in context. The difference between training and practice is that training is not about dying. Eventually they all come alive. What was God's training method for the Israelites? The sea is in front and the Egyptian army is behind them. I got stuck. At the most, God had led us, but we were in a dilemma. God's training has begun.
However, the most important thing is that this incident is not all about the Israelites crossing the sea and being rescued from the Egyptian army. Beyond the protection of the people of Israel, we must remember how faithful God is to Himself before His plans and promises.
There is nothing that God's Word cannot do. We believe in the Word of God not because of the possibility or logic of its fulfillment, but because God said it. God never breaks his promises to himself. People complain, complain, and ignore God, but God does God's work.
2. God tells you to go.
The sea in front and the Egyptian army behind them. How did the people of Israel react? ‘Why did you bring us here and turn us into Lee Ji-kyung?’ ‘What should we do?’ One or two people? What would we have done if we were in Moses' position? In times of need, we must be careful with our words. In this case, we express our faith.
Moses speaks to the resentful people. ‘Look at the salvation he works for you today. You will never see the Egyptian army you see today again.” A leader who knows God's plan and who has faith says this. And God commands Moses to cry. What is the future of ‘command the people of Israel to go forward’? The sea. But God tells him to go. Shouldn't there be some workaround? But God tells us to go first. And God promises to work.
3. God cares about his people.
What God wants the Israelites to do is to have dependence and faith in God, obedient to the command to go forward toward the sea between the sea and the Egyptian army. Now, we cry out that we are dead, and God shows us what it means to be with us in the place of complaints and resentment. It shows that God is fulfilling God's faithful plan in the midst of unbelief that complains about why we are ruined.
God's interest is not in God's parting the sea, but in abandoning the attitude of unbelief of this people and returning to God. Rather than destroying the Egyptian army, He wanted to break the resentment of this people. God's plan for us is to become the one who goes not only when we are prosperous and prosperous, but when we look at the sea in front of us from a low and lowly position in the face of dilemma and when God tells us to go.
4. God's great work is that we serve Him.
It is not God's ultimate goal for the sea to part before God. It is not God's business to destroy the Egyptian army. God's greatest work is for those who are devious, foolish, and inherently loath to fear God, to serve Him voluntarily. This is God's plan. It is God's greatest concern. God's great work.
God is more interested in the people of Israel than the sea or the Egyptian army. Today we are God's concern. Don't worry about how to cross the sea. That's what God will do. Our trouble is that we do not know why we left Egypt, where we are going, or who is leading us. No, I know it, but I don't believe it. They say they believe, but they don't obey. Why ソ?? Do you sit down and pour out your complaints? Why not doubt what God will do? God prepares the way and tells us to go. God has God's plan and works it out in God's way. Trust God rather than the blocked sea. I hope that you will become members of Ilsan Changseong Church who move forward with faith.
