Title: God's Judgment on Moab
Contents
Bible Reading: 15:1 - 9 / God's Judgment on Moab
As the ancient Gentiles thought, Jehovah is not the people of Israel, but the God of the whole world, the only God. His warning to the nations teaches that even though each nation may have a unique type of religion, belief, law, system, custom, etc., they all stood before God and that God Himself judges all their actions.
The text is Hananmi's warning against Moab.
1. Moab weeps bitterly.
The reason is that their major cities will be devastated overnight.
There is only one exception to those who turn away from God and worship idols and do unworthy things.
There will come a day of weeping and mourning.
These are not the tears of repentance, but the tears of pain, the tears of unavoidable destruction
Tears of despair. All those who forsake their God-given opportunity
The day will come when you will shed the same tears of remorse.
Let us remember that now is the time of grace.
(2 Corinthians 6:2) He said, "I heard you in the time of grace, and I helped you in the day of salvation." Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
2. The prophet cries out for Moab.
Although they deserve the recompense for their sins, their destruction tore the heart of the prophet.
I put it We must know that this is the heart of the Lord.
The one who rejoices by holding a feast over the lost and found sheep, sinners
He takes no pleasure in dying in the midst of it.
(Ezekiel 18:23) How can I take pleasure in the death of the wicked, saith the Sovereign Lord?
How can he not rejoice that he turns and departs from his way and lives?
Let's put all our strength together and try to save souls.
3. He sends messengers to those who flee and those who remain.
No one can hide from God's judgment. There is nowhere in the world to hide from him. There is no safe zone except Christ.
1) They cannot escape judgment because of their lust for wealth.
2) It is because they do not repent.
4. Commitment and prayer
1) Repent of sins.
2) Pray for the weak on this earth
