Title: God's Love/30:1-7/15-26
Contents Reading Bible: 30:1-7 / 15-26
Subject: God's love
He is saying that it is a great sin to trust in other things instead of trusting in God when the Jewish people were in trouble.
1. The sin of not praying (1-2)
Israel did not pray to escape and overcome tribulation. (1-2)
It was their rebellious sin not to pray for wisdom and not to ask what they should do. This stems from the pride of trying to solve it without God.
For the saints not to pray is to add sin to sin, and not to pray is to add to the sin of not trusting in God.
2. The sin of trusting Egypt (2-3)
It is a great sin before God to trust in Egypt, symbolized by idolatry and unbelief.
Israel thought that it would be saved by relying on Egypt, which was a powerful country at the time, but life has no power to help. The saints must immediately cut off everything they depend on except God. Those who trust in Egypt will be put to shame. The details of Judah's sin of trusting in Egypt are found in verses 9-12. Judah will be broken like a potter breaks a vessel - fulfilled by Nebuchadnezzar
3. People who have fallen into sin must turn to the Lord to be saved.
When you trust and trust in the Lord, you will receive new strength. (Phil 4:13- He who gives you strength)
4. Just as a parent's love for their children is tender, so is God's love.
Just as there are no parents who find pleasure in chasing their children, what would God be like?
Verses 23-26 speak of God's grace to restore His people.
1) Give us abundant food with grace. - Not only spiritual gifts, but also all that the Lord provides to us, including life, breath, and all things, is not a reward for our hard work, but a free gift. It is a gift of grace. Because the Lord is merciful and merciful, He takes pleasure in raising those who have fallen and showing mercy. It is by the grace of the Lord that we receive salvation and receive our daily bread. Therefore, we believers should always be faithful to the Lord with a grateful heart.
2) He defeats those who oppose them.- God will not tolerate the transgressions and treachery of his people and will punish them. God hates sin, but the soul is precious. Knowing this heart, we must avoid sin and injustice and strive to obey, as well as devote ourselves to the spiritual work entrusted to each of us.
