Title: God's Mission

God's Mission

“Let everyone who is called by my name come, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made” (Isaiah 43:7).

I. Text Commentary

After rebuking the people of Israel, the comforting words that God restores them so that they can serve His nation continue from Isaiah 40. The text records what will happen when God restores the covenant people to a relationship with Him and revives their souls anew. When God tells the world that there are many who are called by His name, He asks the people of Israel to call them, whom He has created in His glory. Here we learn what the purpose of human creation is. That is, God created all human beings in this world with a purpose.

II. The Purpose of Man's Creation: Glory

God created Israel, the Gentiles, and all human beings alike for one purpose. It is for your glory that you created all people in the world. So God powerfully called the people of Israel to live a life that conforms to the purpose of God's creation. God chose Israel first and wanted to show the true human path to which all mankind must return. It is a life that glorifies God.

To glorify God is to acknowledge God. When we acknowledge God, our thoughts, our love, and the order of our lives change. What used to be a goal in my life is now a piece of straw that has no value, and something I never thought was worthwhile has even become a goal in my life. After we acknowledged God, all the orders of our life were reorganized around God, and what we had previously acknowledged was rejected. This is to glorify God. The acknowledgment of God is at the center, and the order of love is established. Order is the ripple of thinking that things that are near are more important and things that are far away are less important. In doing so, we live before God. That is what it means to acknowledge God.

Israel betrayed God, forsook the law, and rejected the voice of the prophets. Each of them lived according to what was right in their own eyes, and faced God with strong rebellion, and lost their unique qualities as God's people in countless greed. God gave Isaiah a call to warn the people of Israel, and made the prophet Isaiah focus on proclaiming the glory of God. So, as much as they knew the glory of God, they acknowledged God, and as much as they acknowledged God, they submitted themselves to fulfill God's perfect love. And when the people of Israel repent and return to God, Israel will be able to carry out a very unique mission again, which is a mission to bring many people from all over the world back to God.

. Bringing Back to God: Mission

The essence of mission is to get people who have departed from God to repent and return to God by spreading the word of God to them across cultural differences. Many people in the Gentiles who do not believe in God are far from God. You are blocked from the true knowledge of God in a double and triple way. Unless someone personally visits them and preaches the gospel, they will never return to God. So evangelism is really important.

If we hear the glorious gospel of Christ and feel the missionary mission, we need to think about how much more we need to devote ourselves. You must be trained to do missionary work with a sense of purpose before God and cherish the vocation for missions. When you struggle to use your material and time for missionary work, God makes people know who you are in their hearts, understands the purpose of life correctly, and directs their lives to glorify God even a little bit. it's god After experiencing that grace, people will thank God again. God uses that dusty service to create truly amazing works. Even if we do not see it immediately, when we do our best for the work of sowing seeds, God uses them to work for His great glory. This is what we call missionary work, and the Church has a grave responsibility for it.

We must do our best to spread the gospel of the Lord to places where the gospel has not been preached. God wants us to preach the gospel today as well. The more difficult it is for us to get to, the more difficult there are areas where there is little chance of hearing the gospel. In such a place, you should not think that it is too much of a sacrifice, even if you take two days by plane to deliver a day. The gospel of Christ was preached to us because someone sacrificed so uneconomically for us. Therefore, we must live as debtors to the gospel.

IV. Let's live as debtors to the gospel

If we remember that we owe the gospel, the sacrifice or difficulty for all our missions is by no means great. It is urgently necessary to know the Lord's great love and grace and to be sent by God while claiming to be in debt to the gospel. You must live as a debtor to the gospel with all your heart. If this gospel had not been preached to us, we would still be wandering in this world, drinking water like water, doing evil and sinning against God. But God, who is rich in all mercy, has given us grace so that we can believe in Jesus Christ and hear the gospel. This was not possible because of our merits, but because of the love of God who has infinite compassion for us. Therefore, when we strive for this mission in order to spread the gospel, we should not weigh our own personal interests and we should not betray our self-awareness that we are debtors to the gospel because we think the sacrifice is too great compared to the achievements.

Realizing that his life was completely indebted to our Lord because he had been saved through the gospel, and that God wants him to use him to devote himself to preaching the gospel as a debtor to this gospel, he actually devoted his life to that. In order to do this, God must work. Salvation is not a daily thing in the hearts of all of you who have already heard the gospel of the Lord and have been saved. When you become someone who can shed tears because of the grace that the Lord has saved a human like me, then we will surely evangelize. .

The greatest love for our neighbors is to share the Gospel. There is really no church in an area where there is no church, so we have to preach the gospel to an area that cannot be heard unless someone goes and preaches it. Not all of us will do it in our lifetime. But we will have to do it while weeping. You will have to do this with all your heart. At the same time, we must do missionary work with all our heart so that God sends more workers. One evangelist is desperately needed to go out and cry out with the gospel of Christ today. 2010-06-23
