②Repentance and supplication of the people
a. Repentance of the people
ａ. We were beaten and we repented (19)
ｂ. After experiencing the judgment of the Lord, we beat our hearts, repented, and were ashamed to the very core (19).

ｂ. We have no place to return but the Lord (18)
2. The Lord Hears and Answers People's Calls
① God’s love for the people

② God's heart when he disciplines the people
a. The more rebuke and discipline the people, the more

B. Every time I think of the people being flogged and living in captivity, my heart aches from my blood to my bones (20)

1. Finally, the people are repenting of their mistakes and are gratefully accepting God's discipline. How beautiful and unique are these people?
2. Once again, we can read God's passionate love for the people. How can this love of God be compared with the love of parents for their children!
