Title: God's People Foreknowledge
Contents
The people God foresaw in advance are not those who follow the flesh, but those who follow the Spirit. Those who follow the flesh think about the things of the flesh, and those who follow the Spirit think about the things of the Spirit. The work of the flesh is man's work, and the work of the spirit is God's work. Man's work is evil and God's work is good. Therefore, the Bible says, “Those who have done good will come out to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment” (John 5:29).
It was man's work to keep Jesus from dying, but it was God's work to make Jesus die. Therefore, to Peter, who was trying not to kill Jesus, “Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan, for you are a stumbling block to me, for you do not think about the things of God, but the things of men…” (Matthew 16:23) And again, "Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. Whoever wants to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for me If a person loses his soul, he will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul? What will a man give in exchange for his life?” (Matthew 16:24-26).
Therefore, the people of God, whom God foreknew, lay down their lives in order to take it again with Christ Jesus. This does not mean that we have rejected Jesus alone, but we are united to Him by faith following His death and being crucified with Christ and Jesus through faith and being joined to Him. Therefore, they are no longer in the flesh, but in the spirit.
Therefore, one who is united with the Lord is one spirit. The Lord is the head, and those joined to the head are his body. Therefore, a man leaves his father and mother, and the two become one flesh, and this mystery is great. As it is said that the Lord is a Spirit, if the head is a spirit, then his body is also a spirit. Therefore, his body, the church, is also a spirit. It is a lie to say that his body, the church, is a gathering of flesh and his body.
Therefore, where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Therefore, the law is also a free law, and the commandment is also those who have the new commandment. For they are free women, those born in Jerusalem above. Therefore, they are now those who have nothing to do with sin. This is because the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death. Therefore, it is written, “In the same way Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many, and will appear a second time, free of sin, for salvation to those who are waiting for him” (Hebrews 9:28).
That is why the Bible says that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. This is because there is no more offering to offer for sins because it has been accomplished through eternal atonement. This sacrifice is the order of Melchizedek, who swore and did not repent. The priesthood will never change again. It was the eternal sin offering and the eternal peace offering that this Jesus fulfilled all at once with his own blood. “It is finished, and his soul departed”.
Therefore, the righteousness of his people, which God foreknows in advance, is not the righteousness of the old commandments related to the flesh, but the righteousness of faith by doing the new commandment, the commandment of love to walk in the Spirit. Therefore, it is his body that keeps the commandment of love that his head desires. It is not his body that is unable to fulfill the wishes of his head. Therefore, “in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed, from faith to faith, as it is written, The righteous will live by faith” (Romans 1:17).
Living life, where the head is, there must also be the body. Therefore, the head came into the world to find the body. It is written, “The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost” (Luke 19:10), and also, “He will give birth to a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins” (Matthew 19:10). 1:21) As God did foreknowledge, He sent them to the children of God who belong to blood and flesh to find and save them from their sins.
Regarding this, the Bible says, “For children are of flesh and blood, and he also belongs to flesh and blood in one way, that through death he who took over the power of death, who put away the devil, and all those who are in bondage through life because they fear death. to release them” (Hebrews 2:14-15).
Therefore, He testified, “I might do the will of him who sent me, and this is the will of him who sent me, that I will not lose any of those who have given me, but will raise them up on the last day” (John 6:39).
His people, foreknowled by God, are brought by God Himself to Christ to belong to Him. It is written, “In the writings of the prophets, they will all be taught by God. For as it is written, everyone who hears and learns from the Father comes to me” (John 6:45). Therefore, the Lord has promised that I will not lose any of those you have given me, but will raise them up on the last day.
Therefore, now concerning the new commandment, "As I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love, so if you keep my commandments you will abide in my love" (John 15:10). knew and believed that God is love; he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him” (1 John 4:16).
Therefore, God's foreknowledged people dwell with Christ in God's love. For he who abides in love abides in God. It is as it is written, “We have received this commandment from the Lord, and he who loves God must also love his brother” (1 John 4:21).
This is because his people, foreknowled by God, are freed from the law of sin and death and are under the law of the Spirit of life. The Bible says, “Sin will not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace. What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace?” (Romans 6:14- 15) proves that. Because we have been set free from sin and made slaves to righteousness.
Therefore, God's people enter into God's rest. It is written, “We who have already believed enter that rest, as it was said, that they shall not enter into my rest, as I swore in my wrath.” But this has been done since the creation of the world” (Hebrews 4:3). ) and again, “He who has entered into his rest rests from his work, just as God rests from his work” (Hebrews 4:10).
Therefore, God's people, foreknowled by God, will praise "the glory of his grace, freely given to us in him whom he loves," forever and ever. Amen, thank you Lord.
