Content 11. God's Probation (Dan 4:19-27)
◈ Proposition: God's discipline has a probation of execution.
◈ Purpose: For the awakening of faith
◈ Introduction: God does not reprimand without warning, nor does He immediately execute a warning. God's grace period is an opportunity for repentance (Noah's flood 120 years - no repentance. Nineveh 40 days - repentance)
1. Daniel's Dream Interpretation and Warning
A. Daniel was not afraid of people and revealed the will of God.
1. Daniel gave warnings as a messenger of God before the king as a servant.
2. Daniel feared God more than men and clearly tested of God's word.
B. The messengers of God fear God more than men.
1. Stephen, who lost his life after warning the Sanhedrin (Acts 7:51)
2. Jonah Deared to Deliver the Warning Message
3. Those who endured hardship and tested of the Word are Jeremiah and Micaiah.
C. How are we?
1. Are you communicating God's will?
2. Isn't it aligned with people's will?
2. God's grace period
A. Why is there a grace period?
1. To give them an opportunity to repent.
2. Because there is no perfect righteous person.
3. If you repent, you can be exempted, and if you do not repent, you will inevitably be beaten.
B. When is the grace period?
1. While there is still peace (v. 4)
2. When there is something to repent of, when there is a warning
3. 120 years before the Flood, 40 days of Nineveh, 1 year of Nebuganezzar
C. How are we?
1. Isn't this a grace period?
2. God is long-suffering, but not very patient.
3. What will you repent of?
A. Why did you give Nebuganezzar a warning?
1. Because they forgot God. To make it known that all sovereignty rests with God (verse 25).
2. Because of King's Pride - Unthankful, Ignoring God
3. It is because you have not done justice.
B. How will you repent? (verse 27)
1. The period of judgment is until realization and repentance (verse 26).
2. If you realize and repent before discipline comes, you will be exempted (verse 27).
3. Seeking God with humility.
C. What will we repent of now?
1. Have you not forgotten God?
2. Don't we have a proud heart?
3. Let us repent immediately when we have a warning.
Conclusion: Anyone can make mistakes. But let's make good use of God's grace period.
