Title: God's Promise
Text: (Hebrews 6:13-20)
What is the most important thing between people?
It is a matter of promise and credit. That is why our society is called a credit society.
= All relationships are strictly related to credit.
=Credit has to do with promises. A response to a promise is called credit.
Banks, workplaces, interpersonal relationships, couples... In all human relationships... Credit and promise are important.
=Whoever trusts me or not depends purely on trust.
= Depending on what kind of credit we have, we are either helped or rejected by others in the world.
Credit is... important to the borrower... and important to the life of the giver.
= That is, whether the borrower has the credit to pay it.
= It is also a question of whether the giver has a life of trust that can be given.
When it comes to credit, think about it... The world we live in is full of promises.
=However, the promises of the people of the world change.
= Credit also changes. So you're having a hard time. I can't believe it.
But everyone! God's promises... have never been changed or canceled.
People's promises can be... vague... opaque... hard to believe.
But God's promises are... certain, clear and precise.
Today's text tells us how accurate, sure, and clear God's promises are.
In Genesis 12, we see the promise God made to Abraham.
And the promise is recorded in chapter 22.
The core of God's promise... is the promise to bless Abraham and make him prosper.
14 I will surely bless you and bless you, and I will multiply you and multiply you. And he endured so long and received the promise.
The words to bless... and to prosper... are emphasized and repeated...
It shows how certain and clear this promise of God is...
Prosperity has three meanings.
The first is vital prosperity = numerical prosperity.
The second is economic prosperity. = Material prosperity.
The third is spiritual prosperity. = religious prosperity.
God promised Abraham the blessing of prosperity by combining these three things.
As promised, God gave Abraham... children's clothing, agricultural clothing, livestock clothing, and faith clothing.
This blessing went not only to Abraham... but also to Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, and Manasseh Ephraim.
Dear saints,
This promise of God, “I will surely bless you and multiply you,” was not only given to Abraham in ancient times.
Today, the same is given to the believers who have the same faith as Abraham and want to serve God.
To all of you who came out this dawn today, I bless you that this promise that God will...prosper you.
In the world we live in today, happiness and success cannot be achieved by human strength.
Only when God blesses us can we prosper.
Therefore, knowing that the authority of blessing rests with God, we must firmly believe and depend on God to live.
Now, what kind of faith can we have... how can we receive and enjoy the blessings of God's prosperity?
1) You must have firm faith.
God's promises are... accurate... clear... sure.
Verse 14 says that when God promises blessing, it must be done.
By necessarily... it means certain, clear and precise.
By having firm faith in God... Abraham received the promised blessing of prospering.
To you and me who came before God this morning
Please believe in the word of blessing, “I will surely bless you and multiply you.”
Take a closer look at this global village. What country do you live in?
All in all, “a nation with firm faith in God the Creator prospers.”
It is a blessing from God that our country has become a country where many Asian countries envy...
The only divided country in the world. It is a small piece of land in the south. Tens of thousands of people are dying and dying.
What's in this little country? Does oil come out? Are there abundant underground resources?
A country where clothes are worn in all seasons of the year. A country that consumes a lot of fuel.
What has made this country a country with a high education rate and a good eating and prosperous life?
Is it because businessmen are good? Are you good at politics? Are you good at teaching?
no. It is because God has blessed the foreign people.
There are difficulties we are experiencing due to the current economic downturn, but these are not just difficulties faced by our people.
Developed countries such as Europe, the United States, and Japan are also suffering from unemployment due to the economic downturn.
Korea is said to be difficult, but it is one of the world's top 10 trading countries, with the world's largest economy.
What assets does Iran have? = What do you have to be proud of? = But God is pleased with this country.
Why are you happy? = It is a country where flowers are blooming with red crosses in every city in the night sky.
= It is a country that wakes up every morning and prays at dawn.
= It is the second country in the world to send missionaries.
= The country with the second largest number of Bibles in the world.
God has not forsaken this country and we are living well because God still blesses us.
Currently, 88% of welfare facilities in Korea are run by Christians.
Numerous kindergarten missionaries, schools and hospitals, over 70% of which are run by Christians.
If we practice the love and service of Christ with a little more correct values,
I believe that this country will become more prosperous and bright and beautiful.
Although our country is going through difficulties for a while now,
If Israel prays again as they gathered at Mizpah to pray, our nation will become the first nation in world evangelization.
God will surely bless a nation that firmly believes and trusts in Him.
Look at Israel...
Israel has a population of only 12 million, with a population scattered all over the world.
Although the land is the size of Korea's Gangwon-do, it is fighting and winning hundreds of millions of Arab countries.
Jews make up only 3% of the US economy, but Jews make up 85% of the US economy.
It is said that no matter who the president is, he will not be able to run politics if he is hated by the Jews who have economic power.
Currently, 50% of Harvard University's professors are Jewish.
We are living as the best people in the world who have won the most Nobel Peace Prizes.
What is the secret to the Jews living as such an excellent people in the world?
It is not because the country is large, nor because of the high level of education, nor because of the abundance of underground resources.
It is only because we live with firm faith in God the Creator.
The Jewish people who still thoroughly obey the law and live according to the word of God have been blessed by God as the most prosperous people in the world.
Countries where the Christian gospel entered the world early are developing into advanced countries in this global village.
However, all countries that have rejected the Gospel are experiencing difficulties.
= India, with a population of 1 billion, is suffering from poverty due to idolatry.
= Buddhist countries such as Cambodia, Thailand, and Sri Lanka are living in miserable poverty.
= Russia, a powerful country with a large land mass, has not accepted the Gospel and is now backward.
However, China, once regarded as the world's poorest country, is rapidly growing.
Why? Because they opened the door to this gospel.
Not long ago, a butler celebrated Thanksgiving in China.
He said that the Chinese church is keeping the Thanksgiving Day as a festival with more passionate, energetic, and joyful praise than the Korean church. Every church in China was overflowing with members.
China, who has embraced the Gospel, is rapidly emerging as an economic powerhouse in the world.
The world's best missionary country, the world's best Bible publishing country, and the world's best church with many churches... America is now
Leading the world. This is by no means a coincidence. It is God's will for you to do so.
Because it is God's will for the nation that believes in God to prosper.
This is because the kingdom of God will be expanded only in this way.
So, the missionary country, missionary company, missionary church, and missionary people are blessed.
When we serve God with unwavering faith... he will surely give us the blessing of prospering.
2) You must have unchanging faith.
Verse 17 says, “To fully show that his meaning does not change.”
Verse 18 says, “God cannot lie.”
God's promises do not change.
God's promise to bless and multiply Abraham was a sure and unchanging promise.
Christians often make promises to God.
There are many times when we make vows to God. I also pray to God.
However, believers easily change their faith before God.
You cannot receive God's blessings by changing your faith.
When we have unchanging faith in God... we can receive the blessing of prosperity.
Copper and iron change easily. That is why it is not appreciated.
But gold is prized by people. why? Because it doesn't change.
Who will God be pleased with?
He is pleased with those who have faith that does not change like gold.
It is to give such a person the promised blessing of prosperity.
Look at Job...Look at Joseph... They were people who did not change their faith in God even though it was difficult and difficult.
They finally receive the blessing of prosperity from God.
I pray that you will become believers who receive blessings from God by having unchanging faith in God.
3) You must have obedient faith.
Deuteronomy 28:2 “All these blessings will come upon you and overtake you if you obey the word of the LORD your God.”
We don't know how many times we hear the word obedience in our life of faith.
But the problem is that no matter how many words you hear... you don't obey them.
When we obey God's Word...
God has promised to help you and give you the blessing of prospering.
When Abraham obeyed by faith... God gave him a wonderful blessing.
1) Leave your hometown, I obeyed.
2) Forsaken Ishmael and obeyed.
3) He obeyed by offering his son Isaac.
I obeyed what you said. Then God's promise was fulfilled.
The blessing of prosperity has come. I went full-on. I went every day.
Let me finish my speech.
Live by faith, live by unchanging faith,
Please obey God's Word completely to the end.
So, I pray in the name of the Lord that God's promise, "If you obey the word of the Lord your God, all these blessings will come upon you and come upon you," in the name of the Lord.
