Title: God's Protection
Bible: Acts 23:12-35
2010.2.28.afternoon
1. Organization of a syndicate to kill the apostle Paul
Since the apostle Paul is being protected by a superintendent, the Jews have no choice but to come up with a scheme. A group of 40 people is organized to go to the chief priests and elders and ask the commander of the heavens to send the apostle Paul to them. The reason is that when the apostle Paul comes to the chief priests, before he arrives, the synagogues will ambush him and kill him in the middle to get rid of him.
And the 40-member squad ambush and protect them that day.
The people of the world consider it normal to kill a life. In particular, the high priests have the responsibility to atone for the sins of the people, and they are the ones who took on the duty to save the dead through the sacrifice. Such a collusion with those who want to kill innocent lives sees a corrupt religion.
We must not use our power to attack people. It should be used to save lives. Please do not take the lead in shedding innocent blood.
2. God who made this known
It is the grace of God that secrets are revealed. God has placed His secret emissaries everywhere. Please believe that God is protecting our lives cheaply under the life of God.
3. The Wisdom of the Commander-in-Chief
The commander of the thousand immediately sent the centurion to summon the soldiers to escort Paul without anyone knowing.
Infantry - 200 men. Cavalry - 70 men. Spearmen - 200 men. Prepare an animal to burn Apostle Paul.
What a majestic procession is this? It also moves prisoners, who would do that? And in order to keep it secret from anyone, at 3 o'clock in the evening, they move to Caesarea Philippi. It was to go to Caesarea Philippi and have Felix go to trial because there was governor Felix.
But this is God-given wisdom. God's protection gave the Commander Cheon wisdom.
“What shall we say then? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Dear saints,
Even if we feel like we are going to die soon, please believe that if God is for us, no one can harm us.
Though I pass through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not fear; the rod of the LORD and his staff comfort me.
4. Chief Cheon's Letter
26-30 are the contents of a letter from the commander in chief Claudio Lucia to Governor Felix.
It explains the innocence of the apostle Paul. And if you stay here, it means that you will continue to torment the apostle Paul with the tricks of the Jews, so please protect him.
Please believe that God still protects us like this. Therefore, rather than worrying about anything, we live by trusting and trusting God.
5. Arrive at Felix
That night, the infantry escorted the apostle Paul safely to the governor Felix.
Governor Felix receives the Commander-in-Chief's letter and, after a few brief interrogations, orders him to be kept in Harrod's Palace. Who would dare to harm Paul, who was guarded in Herod's palace? And who would dare to disobey the governor's orders?
“That night the Lord stood by Paul and said, Be of good cheer. The Lord, who said that I must testify in Rome as I have testified about mine in Jerusalem, will protect the apostle Paul until then.”
Dear saints,
May you experience God's protection. The God who protected David and the God who protected Joseph, I hope you believe that He has protected us like this while living in this world.
