Title: God's Provision is Important

Joshua 12 lists the kings defeated by Joshua.
In particular, the text tells us that before crossing the Jordan River, the two kings of the eastern region, Sihon and Og, gave their territories to Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh as inheritances.
Let's take a look at what true supply is through this text.
First, those who oppose God will be defeated.
Verses 2 and 4 describe the territory of Sihon king of the Amorites and Og king of Bashan.
According to the words of Numbers 21:21-35, they ask Israel to go through the land so that they can go to Canaan.
However, King Sihon rejects this.
Numbers 21:23-24 “Sihon did not allow Israel to pass through his borders, so he gathered all his people together and went out against Israel in the wilderness, and came to Jahaz and struck Israel.
And Israel struck them down with the edge of the sword, and took the land from Arnon to Jabbok, even to the children of Ammon, and the borders of the children of Ammon were strong.”
The king of Bashan is also defeated.
Numbers 21:33-35 “When they turned and went up the road to Bashan, Og king of Bashan went out with all his people to meet them and fight at Edrei.
And the LORD said to Moses, "Do not fear him, for I have given him and his people and his land into your hand; you shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon.
So he struck down him and his sons and all his people, and took possession of the land, leaving no one behind.”
Canaan is the promised land that God gave to Israel.
However, King Sihon and King Og rejected this and fought back, but were defeated.
It shows what the words of those who oppose God are like.

Also, what we can discover is that God helps us overcome the baseline by winning important battles.
This can be seen through the confession of Rahab in Joshua 2.
Joshua 2:9-11 "He said, "I know that the LORD has given you this land. We fear you very much, and all the people of the land melt away before you.
For we have heard of the Lord drying up the waters of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and of what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the Amorites beyond the Jordan, and to destroy them.
As soon as we heard it, our hearts melted, and people lost their minds because of you; for the LORD your God is God above and above.”
The people on the western side of the Jordan River were shocked by the defeat of Kings Sihon and Og, who had great power, and they were “to the point of melting their hearts.”
Second, God's provision is important.
Verse 6: “Then Moses the servant of the LORD and the children of Israel struck them, and Moses the servant of the LORD gave the land as an inheritance to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.”
Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh inherit the territories of the two kings.
However, their choice was closer to the physical things that were pleasing to the eye than the land west of the Jordan River, the promised land of God.
Numbers 32:1 “The children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very large herd of cattle. And when they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, it was a suitable place for cattle.”
In 2 Samuel chapters 2 and 17, this land turns into a place of strife and war.
Good looks don't guarantee success.
Similarly, Lot chose Sodom and Gomorrah, which looked good physically, and built a lot of wealth and success in his own way, but it was destroyed by God's judgment.
What matters is God's provision.
Even if the current situation and reality seem difficult, God can be with you and provide for you.
What matters is whether God's supply channels and pipelines are connected to you.

Organize your words.
If the cause of our fight is clear, victory is guaranteed.
Are you struggling right now in the midst of displaying God's glory and His righteousness?
Tired?
Give me a little bit of strength!
God helps us to win important battles.
And not all Canaanite land that Israel entered was fertile.
It required clearing and hard work and sweat.
Nevertheless, the promised land, the land of blessing, is because God has been with us and has provided us.
