Bible Text: Isaiah 48:9-11
God's Relief
“We create a world without competition.” I can't think of a better slogan than this. But do you know who shouts this slogan? Educators who view competition as evil. They refuse to test their students' academic performance. Students are not allowed to take exams and are given experiential learning instead of exams. To the parents who were blocking the students from leaving the experiential learning, I told them, "Are you taking the exam, or we're taking the exam? Turn it off." Some students, brainwashed by such a teacher, cry out, “I refuse the exam to live like a human being.” Whether you like the world in which those students will live as adults, they must live in a world dominated by competitive logic. How dangerous and irresponsible is the idea that one can only live like a human by refusing tests? I feel a mission to raise waving flags and speak slogans to the growing students and youth.
As I read the Bible, the word God's slogan suddenly came to mind. I wish I could shout out God's slogan! I wanted to. God's slogan is "for".
For my name!
First for! is “for my name.” “For the sake of my name, I will be slow to anger” God promises to be slow to anger for the sake of God’s name. I can't help but be angry, but I can't just look at it and move on, so I won't be angry. Israel has one child. Because how upset and disappointing you are.
God freed the Israelites from slavery in Egypt for 400 years. The Israelites made calves out of gold when they left Egypt with Moses. It is said that the golden calf was the god who brought them out of the land of Egypt. Yahweh said to Moses. “Go down, your people, whom I brought up out of the land of Egypt, are corrupt.” “…I saw this people, a stiff-necked people…I will be angry with them, and I will destroy them and make you into a great nation” ( Exodus 32:7-10)
Exodus from Egypt would not have been possible without God's intervention. God sent ten plagues, and Pharaoh raised his hand and came out of Egypt. But they betrayed the Lord and made an idol.
God is jealous of those who make or worship idols and promises to pay for their sins three or four generations (Exodus 20:5). But God promises to Himself. “I will be slow to anger,” God himself promises and promises again. “I have sworn by me that words of righteousness have gone out of my mouth, and they will not return...” (Isaiah 45:23) Every time I see them filled with evil, my heart aches. But God is not angry and promises to be gracious. Not because they are pretty, but because of your name.
Moses said to God, "...Cease your fierce anger, and turn your mind, so that your people may not be angry, remember, for you have sworn for them, saying, I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky." (Exodus 32:12-13) God answered Moses' request. When he saw what they had done, he could not show them favor, but he was slow to anger as he muttered “for my name’s sake.” There is a saying in the book “Take the honor lightly” that you write your own name. It is said that when a tiger dies, it leaves its skin, and when a person dies, a name is left behind. The name is the shadow of reality.
When Moses came down from the mountain after accepting the Ten Commandments, he heard a loud noise. The people were dancing with the golden calf. Moses couldn't bear it anymore, so he threw the stone tablets down the mountain and broke them. Do not be angry with God! but he couldn't stand it.
“He who is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who is impatient in spirit reveals folly” (Proverbs 14:29). slow to work for my name! This is God's salvation.
For my glory!
For the second! is “For my glory!” is. “For my glory, I will persevere and will not annihilate you.” Glory means “weight” or “mass.” To be heavy means to have significant value. God is trying to make Himself more important and valuable. It is to glorify it by adding a value that no one in this world can underestimate. God promises to be patient and patient for His glory.
Shouting a slogan creates a wave. Heals me who is sick and builds me up when I am depressed. There is something called wave medicine. Attacking and knocking down waves of disease. In other words, it is to overcome evil with good.
The caterpillar does not look up to anyone. Let's put up with the slogans we shout while being despised! Let's go! Let's wait till I become a butterfly! Let's wait until I make fun of all my enemies who used to laugh at me as a butterfly! This is the slogan that butterflies used to chant when they were caterpillars. This is the slogan that the caterpillars shouted countless times until they turned into butterflies.
Finally, the caterpillar became a butterfly, taking shape and flying freely in the wide world. The caterpillar became a tiger butterfly while shouting the slogan for patience.
God Himself became God. Idols came to be made by human hands, but God is the self-existent Jehovah. Wouldn't it be better if I made myself rather than hoping someone else made me? God did not give his glory to anyone who made it. He made his own glory.
“Receive the honor and glory and all authority, Lord alone, I will carry the cross of contempt.
To serve with thanksgiving without name and without light, to serve with thanksgiving without name and without light.”
Who made the glory of Jesus? You have glorified yourself.
“Let us look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2). To sit down is the glory obtained through patience on the cross.
He was glorified by not caring for shame. "I didn't care" means that I didn't care about bad things. It means ignoring it. You must fight and overcome your worries to gain glory.
“Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have chosen you in the furnace of affliction” (verse 10). What is the furnace? A furnace used to melt iron. It is to become the glorious people of God by training in the midst of suffering.
“Saul killed a thousand thousands, David killed ten thousand” (1 Samuel 18:7) This is a song of David's glory. He was appointed because he was a man after God's own heart (Acts 13:22). God raised up shepherds to raise Israel. You don't know how many hardships David went through before he became a respected saint. David raised the people with a perfect heart and guided them skillfully (Psalm 78:71-72).
God's slogan is "For my glory!" is. God endured them for 40 years in the wilderness (Acts 1318). He endured “a thousand years as a day.” He clenched his fists, but he endured to the end. He said that he who endures to the end will be saved. Please endure the road until the glorious day until you achieve the final victory.
I am for myself!
For the third!, “I will do it for myself, how can I dishonor my name, and I will not give my glory to anyone else” (verse 11).
I read this story. It was when my mother was going to buy a new house. My mother sat down and wrote and wrote her name and the address of her new home.
He kept repeating it until he felt that the address was his home address. A few hours after doing so, the phone rang and I got a message that the house was decided to be my mother. My mother was overjoyed, but not surprised. Because he already knew that the house belonged to him.
There must be something I want for me. What I want works for me. I have to decide what I will achieve and believe that it will happen. It is said that heaven helps those who help themselves. If I am for myself, God will also do it for me. Those who help me also receive God's help.
God swears by himself and calls out. “Behold, I am doing a new thing, and now it will be revealed, do you not know it? Surely I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. My people I will give drink to the elect; this people I have formed for myself, that they may praise me” (Isaiah 43:19-21).
For God's sake, it is ultimately for his people. He makes roads and rivers for his people. He is concentrating on making him the head and not the tail, and make the nation an outstanding nation. God's joy depends on us who are His children.
You have done as God said, I will do it for you. You have accomplished and completed it. Jesus said, “It is finished” on the cross. The work of salvation that Jesus accomplished on the cross was a glory for God's name. He did God's will.
“The voice of one who cries, saying, Prepare ye the way of the Lord in the wilderness; make straight in the desert a highway for our God; every valley shall be raised up, and every hillside made low, and every hillside shall be made flat, and there shall be a plain; the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh will see it together, saith the mouth of the LORD” (Isaiah 40:3-5) I must cry for myself. It is more profitable for me to do it than for anyone to give it to me. My name and my glory are in my hands.
Do you have any relief? My slogan, my promise, my motto, my shout, my cry, my motto, my slogan. We are children of God. God is our Father. Will God be angry if I take God's slogan as my slogan? no. You will be delighted. God wants us to be like Him. You have to be like your father before the negligence.
There is a slogan called Gung Ho. It is a slogan that inspires fighting spirit and passion like fighting. This is the slogan uttered by George W. Bush at the election camp in 2000. Gung-ho! In Chinese, it is republican (工和). China is raising its national competitiveness by shouting "Gung-ho" and injecting unlimited passion and energy into the organization. for my name! For my glory! I am for me! I will be slow to anger! Be patient! I will do it!
