Title: God's Retribution/Numbers 16:22-31

Content 27. God's Retribution

Numbers 16:22-31

When God's wrath was about to fall on all the people of Israel, Moses and Aaron made a tearful appeal to God. “God, creator of life, if one man has sinned, how can you be angry with the whole congregation? Please stop your wrath.”

"good. don't listen to my supplications Tell the people to move away from the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. I will judge them only."

Hearing God's command, Moses and the converted elders go to the tent where Dathan and Abiram are. “I said that I would not go up to the tabernacle, so how can you come and annoy me again?” Moses proclaims to the congregation without saying a word to Dathan and Abiram’s accusations. “Depart from the tents of these wicked men and touch nothing with their things. for in all their sins, least you perish together.”

The Israelites hurriedly left Dathan and Abiram. “Everyone, don’t go. You are being deceived by Moses again. Come back.” Despite Dathan and Abiram's perseverance, all the Israelites obeyed Moses and left the place.

Only Dathan and Abiram, their wives and children, were left. “Good. Even if they all leave, only us, our wives, and our children will remain against you until the end.” “All these things God sent me to do. It was never something I did on my own. The masterminds of the rebellion will be judged in a strange way.”

As soon as these words were spoken, an earthquake suddenly occurred, and the land on which Dathan and Abiram and their families stood was split apart. “Ugh, save someone… .” They as well as Korah and her followers were equally buried alive. It's full of people screaming here and there. “Ahhhhhhhh, save someone.” A serious judgment has come that you will never see with your eyes open. Remember! A challenge to God is judgment!
