Title: God's Safe Zone (Genesis 39:11-23)

11. At that time Joseph went into the house to serve, and none of the householders were there.

12. And the woman took the robe and said, "Sleep with me, and Joseph threw his robe in his hand and ran away."

13. When he saw that Joseph left the garments in his hands and fled,

14. And he called the men of the house, and said to them, Behold, the master is bringing a Hebrew to us, and he is mocking us. He wanted to scare me, so I cried out with a loud voice to come in.

15. He heard my cry, and he left his clothes on me and ran away.

16. Leave the clothes aside and wait for their master to return home.

17. And he spoke these words to him, saying, The Hebrew servant whom you brought to us came to me to mock me.

18. I cried and called, and he left the clothes on me and ran away.

19. When the master heard that his wife had told him, 'Your servant has done this to me,' he was very angry.

20. So Joseph's master caught him and put him in prison, which was the place where the king's prisoners were kept.

21. And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was kind to him, and he found favor in the prison.

22. Since the prison placed all the prisoners in the hands of Joseph, Joseph took care of all the affairs.

23. The prison did not look after anything that was in his hand, for the LORD was with Joseph, and the LORD made him prosper in everything.

The Bible says that Joseph's appearance was modest and modest. In the text, Potiphar's wife asked Joseph to lie with her every day, but Joseph did not listen, so she did not lie with him, nor was he with him. In verse 12 of the text, it is recorded that when the woman asked for bed, Joseph threw his clothes in his hand and ran away. One thing to note in Genesis 39 is that several times it is said that God made Joseph prosper because God was with him. Later, with God's blessing, Joseph became the prime minister of Egypt, but the process was really difficult and difficult. But even among them, we can see that God was with Joseph even the most personal and secret parts. Even today, I pray that God will be with you in every corner of our lives. Also, please acknowledge that unless God is with us in every little thing, we fall and fall.

Psalm 119:9-11 says, "With what can a young man purify his conduct? I will heed your word. I have sought you with all my heart; do not turn away from your commandments. I will not sin against you, lest I sin against you. I have put it in my heart," says the psalmist. Joseph grew up with a dream of God from an early age. Those who do not have the vision of God are tolerant of sin, but those who have the vision of God must become partakers of God's disposition. I earnestly pray that God will grant us the grace to live with the word of the Lord in our hearts like Joseph did today.

In 2 Peter 1:3, verse 4 it says, “His divine power has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his glory and virtue, thereby fulfilling his precious and exceedingly great promise. He has given us, that by this promise you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” All saints!! There is no royal road to overcoming sexual temptation. Sexual seduction is Satan's most powerful strategy and tactic to bring ruin to all mankind, regardless of age, status, or occupation. Are you living your life resolutely resisting these temptations? Are you living according to God's Word? In the text, Joseph escaped from day to day, but the fact that this situation occurred nonetheless is that there are cases in which we cannot avoid temptation. No matter how hard we try to resist the devil, we cannot guarantee this area.

None of us are free from these sexual temptations. How can we endure these trials if we do not take care of each other, take care of each other, support each other, and live in the Word every day? It's like driving. Even if you have been without an accident for the past thirty or forty years, accidents happen instantaneously. Do your best to avoid and avoid contact, see what you shouldn't see, and don't go where you shouldn't go. It is a rather passive method, but it is unavoidable. This part is not an opponent. It is said that if you are tired, you will win a hundred battles, but you must avoid sexual temptation. Even though Joseph avoided it, didn't he face a moment of crisis? In the name of God, I pray that God will give us grace so that we can live a pure life before God.

Joseph did not fall into the abyss of temptation. Potiphar's wife is put in prison for lying. From a human point of view, Joseph seems really bad, but we can find out by looking at the Bible. That God had sent Joseph to the safest place to bless him... If Joseph had stayed at Potiphar's house, would he have been freed from the temptation? David confessed in Psalm 12, “For, saith the Lord, for the oppression of the poor and the groaning of the needy, I will arise now, and I will put him in his desired place of safety.” Do you not agree that it is a little more difficult and hip than living in sin and living well and eating well, but a safe zone with God is better?

Because I work in prison, when I go to prison, I often confess that that is where we should be. I earnestly pray that you will become the people whom God gives grace by living faithfully by longing for God's grace.
