Title: God's Sent / John 3:31-36
Content: God's Sent
John 3:31-36
Today's text is a verse that explains who Jesus is.
If we introduce Jesus to the world, he is the son of a poor carpenter in a small town.
He was raised in Nazareth and had no special background.
(John 3:31) He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is of the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is
you are above all things
In other words, Jesus is not an ordinary man, but God, the Messiah, and
The words of Jesus are the words of God, not the words of the earth.
The Jews said to Jesus, 'If you are from heaven, show me the evidence'
He said, looking for a target. In fact, Jesus has already shown many signs. Nevertheless, they don't believe and they keep asking for another sign, how frustrating is it?
Jesus performed many signs that testify that Jesus is the Son of God and the Messiah, that is, healed the sick and inevitably died with just the word, fed 5,000 people with five diseases, and raised the dead. This is something that can never be done unless you have come from heaven.
When the Jews saw these signs, they did not believe and asked for another sign.
In this way, when the Jews asked Jesus to show him the evidence from heaven, Jesus said that he had nothing to show and there was nothing to show except the sign of Jonah.
Just as Jonah went into the belly of a big fish and rose from the dead on the third day, so Jesus was crucified and died, and on the third day he rose from the dead.
Why do so many people not accept the testimony of Jesus?
The reason is not that the evidence of Jesus is insufficient, but that the evidence of Jesus is perfect, but only because we do not have faith in Jesus.
In verse 31, we see that Jesus was to God because He came from heaven.
He said that he testified to what he had seen and heard.
Therefore, Jesus possessed an accurate knowledge of God.
Until Jesus came, all those who testified of the word of God knew little or could not know anything except the revelations they had received from God.
Therefore, no matter how much the prophets testified, they were partial and insignificant.
But the testimony of Jesus was not.
Jesus was the incarnate God who was originally in heaven and saw
Since you have heard, the testimony of Jesus is the perfect evidence.
Only Jesus, who came from heaven, can testify of God most accurately and most accurately.
In the Gospel of John, Jesus taught
The word “He who sent me or Father” appears 23 times.
It is said 17 times that Jesus was sent by God.
Jesus is the one who came into this world from heaven.
When the time for Jesus to die on the cross was near, in John 16:28,
(John 16:28) I came out of the Father and came into the world.
I am leaving this world again and I am going to the Father.
In this way, because Jesus came from the Father, he is the perfect testimony to God most completely.
Up to now all the prophets have tried to show the way to God,
Jesus
(John 14:6) Jesus said to them, I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.
We must receive the Holy Spirit to realize the truth and to know and believe in God. Except for the work of the Holy Spirit, no one can confess that Christ is Lord, and without the work of the Holy Spirit, we cannot become true Christians.
We can believe that we have the Spirit of Christ in us.
(Romans 8:9) If the Spirit of God dwells in you,
you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit
If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
look in the text
(John 3:35) The Father loved the Son, and gave all things into His hand. (John 3:36) He who believes in the Son has eternal life, and whoever does not obey the Son
Those who do not see eternal life, but the wrath of God abides upon them.
Also
(Matthew 28:18) Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. (Matthew 28:19) Therefore go ye into all nations.
Make disciples and baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
According to these words, we believe that Jesus is the one who has all authority in heaven and on earth.
He is the master of history who insists on the rise and fall of human life and death and prosperity.
You have to believe it.
Even now, Jesus rules the world. However, people who do not know God know that evil spirits rule the world, buy expensive amulets to attach to their houses, and throw them away by putting them in their clothes.
People who do good when something happens in the house
He truly wants to avoid danger and receive blessings while serving demons.
They're stupid people.
All authority belongs to Jesus. Therefore, demons do not dare to see or torment those who live with Jesus.
A shaman's son who lives in Chungmu-dong went to the army and came to believe in Jesus through a chaplain, so he was baptized in the army.
When I was baptized, I had to memorize the Lord's Prayer and the Apostles' Creed as a preliminary study.
When I came home from vacation, a good had happened. Those who were even baptized did not want to participate in the rites, but it was nice to sit still, so they memorized the Lord's Prayer inwardly by themselves. But it was not a good edition.
Even if a person with such weak faith prayed, the demons ran away and it was not possible to pray.
If believers who truly believe in Jesus resist the devil,
How can the devil not run away?
It is important for us to hear the word of God, but more important than that
It is really important to believe as it is.
Also, it is important to know the word of God by hearing it, but it is
What you do is more important.
Because no matter how much you hear, it is useless if you do not believe
Because if you don't do it, it's useless.
Therefore, those who believe and obey have eternal life, but those who do not see eternal life and will receive the wrath of God.
Those who hear the gospel and believe at this time are truly blessed.
Those who hear the Gospel and do what they understand are more blessed.
Because such a person is the greatest in the sight of God.
You and I, believe and obey,
I hope that you will become a saint who receives grace and blessings.
