Title: God's Underwear
Content R>
Old Testament
R>1. Thus the LORD said to me, Go, buy a sackcloth, and gird it around your waist, and do not soak it in water.
2. I bought a belt according to the word of the LORD, and put it on my waist.
3. Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
4. Take the girdles you bought and put around your waist, rise up, go to the Euphrates, and hide it there in a cleft of the rock.
5. I went and hid it by the waters of the Euphrates, just as the LORD commanded me.
6. After many days the LORD said to me, Arise, go to the Euphrates, and bring the belt that I have commanded you to hide there.
7. I went to the Euphrates, and dug in the hidden place, and brought the belt, and the belt was rotten and unusable.
8. The word of the LORD came to me, saying,
9. Thus saith the LORD, I will thus corrupt the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.
10. This wicked people will refuse to listen to me, and walk according to the stubbornness of their hearts, and follow other gods and serve him and bow down to him, and they will become as unfit for this belt.
11. I wanted to make all the house of Israel and all the house of Judah my own, says the LORD, as the belt is on the waist of a man, that they may be my people, that they may be my name and my honor and my glory, but they did not listen.

“God’s underwear” (Jeremiah 13:1-11)
God wears underwear
You wear it all over your body
clothes and the one who wears clothes
you say one
change the owner of that underwear
Wrapped around multiple waists
God is naked
his bare skin
we cover
our strength
coming out of his waist
his lust
it's up to us
to put us back on
To those who have held captive the loose underwear
what an expensive redemption
did you pay
