Title: God always gives grace and reward!/?..

Content Introduction:

If you look at the words of Revelation 2:12, “Be faithful even unto death, and I will give you the crown of life,” you can see that Jesus Himself said that there was a promise of a reward for faithfulness.

When Jesus suffered on the cross, he died for the sins of all people in anticipation of the reward of resurrection.

In John 10:17, Jesus made it clear, "The Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it again."

Why did Moses refuse to be called the son of Pharaoh's princess and choose to suffer with God's people? Hebrews 12:26 says, "The insults received for Christ's sake were regarded as greater riches than all the treasures of Egypt, because they looked for the reward." He was able to give up the temporary pleasures and happiness of sin because he looked at God's greater and more wonderful reward.

Abraham was able to sacrifice his only son Isaac on the altar in obedience to God's command, not simply because he loved God. Because he believed that “God raises the dead, and God calls the things that do not exist as though they were” (Romans 4:17).

In the Old and New Testaments, whenever God gives a command, He always promises a reward.

He said, “Do not worship idols.” He said that if you do not keep this commandment, you will pay for your sins up to the third or fourth generation, and if you keep this commandment, you will be gracious to a thousand generations.

What kind of reward is promised in the Bible?

1. A reward for sacrifice and devotion to the Lord is promised.

In Matthew 25:10-12, “Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. and rejoice, for your reward is great in heaven.” In Matthew 5, Jesus promised a reward each time in the Beatitudes of the Sermon on the Mount.

(Matthew 5:3) Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

(Matthew 5:4) Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

(Matthew 5:5) Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

(Matthew 5:6) Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.

(Matthew 5:7) Blessed are the merciful, for they shall have mercy.

(Matthew 5:8) Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

(Matthew 5:9) Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God.

(Matthew 5:10) Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

(Matthew 5:11) Blessed are you when they curse and persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me (Matthew 5:12) Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven. thus persecuted the prophets who were

Abraham, who was the father of faith in the Old Testament, was able to donate Isaac, the only son whom Abraham loved so much, to the Moriah Foundation because he believed in God's reward.

Hebrews 11:19 says, “He thought that God was able to raise him from the dead.”

2. There is a reward for good deeds.

We Christians are to show good deeds.

The Apostle Paul told us to act like the children of Beb, and he said that it is goodness, righteousness, and truthfulness. (Ephesians 5:8-9) But such behavior is what Jesus said

In Matthew 6:1 it says, “Be careful not to do your righteousness in front of men to be seen by them, or you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.” He said that it is the right faith to hope for the reward of God and to do it.

(Matthew 10:41) Whoever receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and whoever receives a righteous person in the name of a righteous person will receive a righteous person's reward (Matthew 10:42) Whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of the little ones, truly I say to you, that person will by no means lose his reward.

(Mark 9:41) If anyone gives you a cup of water because you belong to Christ, I tell you the truth, he will by no means lose his reward

(Luke 6:35) But love your enemies and do good, and borrow, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will become sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked.

3. He also promised a reward for material loyalty.

Mark 10:29-30, "Truly, I say to you, whoever has left houses or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for me and the gospel, There is no one who will not have eternal life.”

It is a promise that if you sacrifice your material and family for the gospel of Christ in the kingdom of God and for the Lord's church, you will repay it greatly in the present time and in the future.

In Luke 6:38 it says, “Give, and it will be given to you; it will be given generously, and pressed down, shaken and overflowing, to be given to you.” God did not tell us to bring one-tenth of the material imported to us unconditionally. He also promised a clear reward.

Malachi 3:10 says, “I will not pour out your whole tithe into a storehouse, so that there may be food in my house, and I will open the gates of heaven and pour out you so that there is no room for blessings, says the LORD of hosts. “Look,” he promised.

If you believe according to the Bible, tithe according to the Bible, and live a life of truth, sometimes hardships and tribulations will come.

4. He also promised a reward for the crown, the reward of grace.

A great reward is promised in Revelation 2:10, "Be faithful to death, and I will give you the crown of life." Since life is the most precious thing, the rewards of those who sacrificed their lives for martyrdom are the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

type of crown

(2 Timothy 4:8) From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

(James 1:12) Blessed is he who endures temptation, for when he is approved in this he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love him.

(1 Peter 5:4) Then you will receive the crown of glory that will not fade when the Chief Shepherd appears.

What must I do to receive this crown?

(Rev 3:11) I am coming soon; hold fast what you have, so that no one takes your crown.

The apostle Paul, speaking about the assurance of the resurrection of Christ in 1 Corinthians 15, concludes by saying, “Therefore, my beloved, be steadfast, unshaken, and always diligent in the work of the Lord, for your toil is not in vain in the Lord. You know,” he emphasized.

Labor for the Lord's kingdom never returns in vain.

Jesus said clearly, "I lay down my life in order to take it."

5. The reward of prayer is the reward of answers, and promises are fulfilled.

(Matthew 7:7) Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you (Matthew 7:8) For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened (Matthew 7:9) ) Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give you a stone (Matthew 7:10) and if he asks for a fish, will he give you a snake? (Matthew 7:11) will not your Father who is present give good things to those who ask?

(Jeremiah 33:3) Call to me, and I will answer you, and I will show you great and mighty things that you do not know.

(Psalm 50:15) Call on me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver you, and you will glorify me.

(Luke 18:7) How much more will God not avenge his elect, who cry out day and night? Will he be patient with them? (Luke 18:8) I tell you, he will avenge them quickly.

way of prayer

Matthew 6:6 says, “When you pray, go into your studio, shut the door, and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”

It is saying that there is no reward or answer to prayer that is repeated in order to be seen by people. Only prayers that are sincere before God who sees in secret have answers and rewards.

In fact, like labor, prayer obviously requires sweat and effort.

Martin Luther, the Reformer, once said, "Prayer is a hard thing."

Praying with all your time and passion for the salvation of your family, for your country and nation, or for the church is a life that will receive a great reward from God. Also, the grace and blessings they receive through their prayer life are immense. Prayer is more certain than saving money in a savings account. If you have prayed earnestly in faith, there will come a time when you will pick the fruit of prayer and eat it. Even after 10 years, 20 years, or 30 years, or even if you go to your children's generation, answers to prayers will come.

A man named George Muller in England prayed for the salvation of his friend for 30 years, and after Mueller's death, that friend accepted Jesus and became a saved person. If we live our whole life centered on the Word of God and sacrifice and dedicate everything to please God, no matter what anyone says, He will surely reward us thousands of times more.

(Deuteronomy 1:11) May the LORD, the God of your fathers, make you a thousand times more numerous than they are today, and bless you just as he has promised you.

Paul and the great saints who were our ancestors in our faith believed in this God's reward and were able to throw away everything in the world like dust.

Conclusion: However, it is important to note that the motives such as giving donations or volunteering to report immediate profits or feeling discouraged while hoping for hasty compensation are wrong motives.

As we live a life of truth in front of God who sees our heart, we must believe that God will give us grace and reward someday.

In our lives, we will reap as much as we sow before God.

(Galatians 6:8) He who sows to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but he who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.

(2 Corinthians 9:6) This is the saying, whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

If you sow much, you will reap much; if you sow little, you will reap little.

If you sow evil, you will reap a lot of evil.

If you sow perishable, you will reap perishable,

(Job 34:11) He repays men according to their works, so that each one gets according to his works.

(Proverbs 13:21) Calamity follows the sinner, but a good reward comes to the righteous.

If you sow spiritual things, you will receive eternal things from God.

(Proverbs 22:4) The reward of humility and the fear of the Lord is riches, glory, and life. -Amen-
