Title: God Answers Prayer
Contents
God answers prayer (Psalm 40:1-2)
Kim So-wol speaks of a heartless name that does not answer even when called at the beginning of the poem. So he said, “The name to which I will die while calling”. In the nursery rhyme <Echos of the Mountain>, Yuchi-hwan said that the echoes were “the echoes of the mountains that always go to him and call him out and answer him happily.”
God is not a “name that does not answer our calls” but is a good God who always answers our prayers like an echo on a mountain.
The Bible speaks versely about God who answers.
“Call to me, and I will answer you, and I will show you great and mighty things that you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3).
“If you cry out to me and come to me in prayer, I will hear your prayers. 13 If you seek me with all your heart, you will find me and find me.” (Example 29:12-13)
“Will God not seek the right of his chosen people, who cry to him day and night, and will he ignore them and leave them alone for a long time?” (Luke 18:7)
In today's text, David confesses that he is in the "pit of destruction" and the "black water" of life. It is a situation of serious life tribulation and trials. In such a situation, David miraculously gets out. What is the secret? Verse 1 is the word. "I waited eagerly for the Lord" "He heard my cry"
The secret is to cry out and pray while waiting for God's help.
He is the God who answered God without knowing it when David cried out and sought Him.
If you pray, if you seek God, please believe in God who answers and meets you.
<"People from all over the world> were on a boat together.
Then, suddenly, a storm came. People began to pray in their own way to the gods they believed in in their own country. But the storm only got worse. Then the people all at once rebuked the Jews who believed in God. “Why don’t you pray?”
A Jew, who was criticized by many, began to pray. Then, miraculously, the storm soon subsided. People asked when the ship reached the port.
“When we prayed sincerely, it had no effect, but when you prayed, the storm calmed.
Then the Jew answered. “Each of you prayed to the god you believed in in your hometown. The Babylonians prayed to the Babylonian god, and the Romans prayed to the Roman god. But the sea does not belong to any country. Because our Jewish God is the Almighty One who rules the entire universe, he grants my prayers at sea."
Please believe in a good God who answers our prayers. However, there is a very easy condition for answering our prayers. What are the prayer conditions for hearing and answering our prayers?
First, it is the prayer of faith.
This is the prayer contained in a prayer published by a church in Salisbury, England in 1558.
“God, be in my head and rule my knowledge. God, be in my eyes and rule what I see. God, be in my mouth and rule what I say. God, be in my heart and control what I think. .God, be on my goal and direct my departure.”
It is a prayer of faith that is realistic and full of life.
He said that without faith it is impossible to please God. Also, without faith, prayers are not answered. This is because the condition of the answer is that only what you give through faith will be answered. James 1:6-7 says, “6 Do not doubt at all, but believe and ask. A person who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven by the wind. 7 Do not expect such a person to receive anything from the Lord.”
<Dr. Eric Linderman, head of psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital, USA> said, “Squeezed anger or suppressed sadness is the poison of life. said A woman's father died after she had been struggling to take care of her father's illness by herself for a long time while feeling sad. The woman was crushed and tormented without even expressing her sorrow for fear that her mother, who suffered from heart disease, would be shocked. Then he developed a stomach ulcer, and the disease eventually developed into cancer, and he suffered and died. If closed emotions are left as they are, they act as diseases that harm the body. The best way to release those repressed emotions is through faith. If anyone entrusts all the burdens of life to the Lord and prays, the suppressed feelings will be released and blown away. In particular, please believe that vocal prayers and cry out prayers are good ways to relieve your emotions.
Second, it is a prayer offered by relying on the blood of the Lord.
There is no one righteous. Every human being outside of Christ is in sin. Only by believing and relying on the blood of Christ can you be washed and go to heaven. We Christians are people who depend on the blood of the Lord and are saved through faith. Sin blocks the gate of heaven, and sin blocks the door of answers to prayer. The blood of the Lord removes the sins that block the gates of heaven. The blood cleanses the sins that are blocking the door of answers to prayer.
Therefore, in order to go to heaven, we must rely on and believe in the blood of the Lord, and in order to receive answers to prayer, we must depend on the blood of the Lord and pray. At that time, the blocking sins will disappear, and the door of heaven's answer will be opened. Therefore, I ask you to believe in and depend on the blood of the Lord and pray.
1 John 1:7 “The blood of Jesus the Son of God cleanses us from all sins”
1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” -Hallelujah-
Please pray with courage and rely on the blood of the Lord, shed for you, at any time. The Lord always answers.

Third, it is prayer seeking the will of the Lord.
Jesus' Prayer in Gethsemane: "Drink as I will, but as you will."
He showed us how to pray. 1 John 5:14, “This is the boldness we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”
The will of the Lord is written in the Bible. When you pray based on the Word, you receive answers to what you ask for.
<George Mueller>, who said that he received answers to prayers about 50,000 times in his life, said that he prayed with the Bible open to him. “God, didn’t you promise me this way? So I trust you will answer me.” So I got a lot of replies. Therefore, please do not vaguely pray, but believe in the promise of prayer answers in the Bible and pray. I believe that there will be an effective answer at that time.
Finally, a sincere prayer.
In James 5:17-18, Elijah prayed earnestly and he answered it.
“Elijah was a man like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth bore fruit.”
Spurgeon said: "A cold prayer is like an arrow without an arrowhead, a knife without a blade, a bird without wings. It cannot pierce the target, it cannot cut anything, nor can it ever reach the sky." did.
It is a word that warns against cold and cold prayers without earnestness. Please do not pray coldly and earnestly like Elijah.
Then God will supply all your needs according to his riches in Christ Jesus.
The Reformer Martin Luther said, "If I had not prayed for more than two hours in the morning, the victory of the day would have gone to the devil." said There is no victory without prayer.
Dear saints, I bless you that you will always receive answers by believing in the good God who answers our prayers, relying on the blood of the Lord, and praying earnestly for continuous prayer and faith.
Verse 1 David says, “I waited eagerly for the Lord, and the Lord looked down on me and heard my cry.” I bless you that this confession becomes the confession of you and me.
