Title: God commands for our happiness.

content addition>

God commands for our happiness (Deuteronomy 10:1-22)

1. Moses recalls the time when he received the Ten Commandments again on Mount Sinai (vv. 1-5).

(1) God wrote the Ten Commandments on two stone tablets again to Moses (Jeremiah 31:31-33). The first law pertains to interrogations written on stone tablets. It's just text. But the second law is written in the heart. It is a word that works through the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:3, 6).

(2) How can we experience the presence of God? First, the Ten Commandments signify the knowledge of God. Second, manna is the word of God. Third, Aaron's budded rod signifies leadership.

Therefore, if we long for the anointing of the Holy Spirit, equip ourselves with the Word of God every day, and live obediently to the Lord's servant, God will be used preciously.

2. God has appointed priests for the happiness of His people (verses 6-11).

(1) Among the 12 tribes of Israel, God divided the tribe of Levi into the rank of priests (verses 6-9). The Levites obtained a dwelling place provided by each tribe and lived by receiving tites. Therefore, to pay tithing is to provide for the necessities of a priestly life. And if you pray for the priest's blessing, God will bless you (Numbers 6:24-27).

(2) With the restored covenant of God, Moses climbs the mountain again and is commanded by God to advance again (verses 10-11). How did Israel travel through the wilderness? They moved to see the glory of God (Exodus 40:34-38). If we hold on to God's covenant and restore our faith, God will guide us to move forward toward the future.

3. God commands for our happiness (vv. 12-13).

(1) God's command is to love God (verse 12).

(2) God's command is to bless us to be happy (verse 13).

4. We must have faith in the God who gives us happiness (verses 14-16).

(1) Why should we fear God, walk in His ways, love Him, serve Him, and keep His commands and ordinances? First, because God is the Creator and Master of all things (verse 14). Second, because God, the Creator and Master of all things, has chosen us (verse 15).

(2) Because we are the chosen people with this special grace, we must live separately (verse 16).

5. We must know God's disposition and obey God's commands (verses 17-22).

(1) Who is God? (Verse 17) God is the One who does justice and provides for the needs of orphans and widows (verses 18-19).

(2) Praise God for what he has done and swear to obey God's commands (verses 20-22)
