Title: God Editing the Life of the Saints

Romans 8:27-28'27. He who searches hearts knows the thoughts of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28. We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. It is done' - Amen.

Too many fateful things happen in the world to be considered coincidences. We call it the providence of God to express biblically. In particular, in the course of the life of the saints, there are cases where unexpected events occur. So, today, I would like to share a sermon titled <God Edits the Life of the Saints>, focusing on verse 2 of the text we are familiar with.

1. The saints who are called go to victory in the end

God has said that He is calling His people through the Gospel. Our Presbyterian Church believes in the theory of God's unconditional election based on Calvin's theology. That is, there are those who have left the church on their own and there are those who have been called. Those who truly hear the voice of God's truth with their soul and accept it as Amen are called internal callings in theological terms, and those who leave the church are called external callings.

In the Bible, such a parable is found in Matthew 22, in which a person is invited to a banquet house without formal robes and is expelled. It is a parable, which means that even if you go to heaven without putting on the clothes of faith, you will be kicked out.

Please note in verse 28 of the text that they are those who are called according to his purpose. If you ignore God's truth and go to church without listening or obeying, no one can take responsibility for the consequences of your soul. Those who are truly called know and obey God.

2. Those who follow the truth of God are victorious

When the Holy Spirit comes, we think that we deviate from the truth of the Bible, but it is not.

2 Corinthians 13:8 “We can do nothing against the truth, but only for the truth.”

1 Corinthians 4:6 ‘…do not go beyond the written word…’

John 16:13 “But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth.”

So, in verse 27, it says that the Holy Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. In other words, the Bible does not reveal other revelations beyond the truth of God.

3. Children of God let the course of life be edited into goodness and ultimately triumphant

In the life of our saints, we encounter many rare things, and the most dangerous and foolish thing is to vomit complaints. Then, God's good plan is set aside. No matter what happens, you have to meditate on God quietly and ask for His will to get good results.

The people of Israel who left Egypt saw the same miracle at the Red Sea, and they said that they lived while eating manna and quail in the wilderness, but all those who lived with complaints died.

1 Corinthians 10:10 “Do not grumble like them, for some of them grumbled and were destroyed by the destroyer.”

Text, 28 “We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

The word good here means ajgaqov, which means the best, the most useful and beautiful result.

If you are a believer who serves the Lord by believing and realizing that there is no one like the Lord Jesus in the world because God has called you spiritually, you will be able to live a life with no regrets.

Romans 11:29 says, “The gifts and callings of God are without repentance.” Therefore, those who truly respond to God's call and live a life of faith by obeying the truth must believe that no matter what happens, their lives will be beautifully edited in God's providence and good results will be obtained.

Today, like every day, we can meet new things and encounter unexpected life processes. God's pre-determined prophetic image of the future is a sinful world, but in the midst of this, we learn that the saints who have been called by God are children of grace who always protect their lives wherever they go and make the best solution by beautifully editing the course of their lives. I pray that you believe through it.
