Title: God Gives the Wishes of the Heart

Contents

God who gives the desires of the heart (Philippians 2:13)

Dr. Schweitzer, the ‘Saint of Africa’, advised that the first method should be an example, the second should be an example, and the third should be an example.

Parental example is the secret to growing into good children.

Today we are going to divide this verse into two parts.

The first is that God has a desire in our hearts.

The second is that God works in us to make that wish come true.

These two have something in common. That is what God does.

May God have a desire in our hearts according to His good purpose.

It also means that God works in us to make the wishes of our hearts come true.

Dear brothers and sisters, I pray that God will give you the wishes of your heart during this time today and in the life to come.

And I bless you in the name of the Lord that God will give you strength, wisdom, and courage to make that wish come true.

First of all, there is one thing you should be grateful for.

It means that God's purpose for you is good.

If you knew one thing that God's purpose for me was good, your life would be completely different.

No matter what kind of despair and pain you may encounter in your life, you will never give up.

But the problem is that I don't believe that God's purpose for me is good. Therefore, we are not thankful, we despair over small things, and we cannot escape from resentment and complaints.

Consider a man named Joseph. Joseph's life was full of turmoil. Because of the dream he had, he had to go through many trials and tribulations. He was hated by his brothers and sold into slavery, and he was framed and imprisoned and had to feel the threat of death.

Nevertheless, he overcame all the hardships and was able to rise to the position of Prime Minister of Egypt.

Because if you have a dream, you have a future. It is to help you achieve your God-given dreams. But even if many years have passed, how can the feelings of betrayal and anger towards the older brothers disappear?

So, how hard must Joseph's heart be when he met his brothers who came to seek food during the 7-year famine?

But Joseph realized God's good purpose. So, to his fearful brothers, Joseph says:

“Do not be grieved or be grieved because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to save lives” (Genesis 45:5).

Dear saints, God's purpose is good.

Please believe that God's plan and providence to accomplish through you are beautiful and good.

“God is good, and his mercy abounds; his faithfulness endures forever.” Hallelujah Amen

Therefore, even if there are hardships and adversity in the present life, do not be afraid, do not be anxious or anxious.

I hope that I will believe in God's good purpose for me and do everything without any grudges or disputes.

First, God gives wishes to our hearts.

There are many things to have a wish in your heart.

Some people's wishes are really evil and ugly. However, some people's wishes are also good and beautiful. Many people have wishes in their hearts. However, most of them are unable to escape from their greed and selfishness.

However, I hope that the wishes of my heart and you all will be things that please God. How precious would it be if the desires of my heart were not my own greed, but a wish God gave me

The very important point in today's text is that God gives wishes to our hearts. In other words, the wish in my heart is the wish God has given me.

What do you mean, “It is God who works in you”? It means that God is in your heart. It means that God guides and guides us in us. He is definitely a person who lives with God. And it is that the God who is in the heart gives the desire that pleases God in the heart of a person for the purpose of his good pleasure.

When the Apostle Paul prayed for the Ephesians, he prayed, “Let Christ dwell in your hearts.” It says that becoming a person with God in his heart is the most important thing. Therefore, the wishes of those who have God in their hearts become the wishes that God gives them.

God bless you and me in your hearts.

So, I bless you in the name of the Lord that my wishes and yours will become the wishes of God.

God put a wish in the heart of a child. The child's wish was to become an adult and to become a dedicated African missionary. And he made that dream come true. He is Livingston, the father of African missions.

What are your wishes? May God give you holy wishes in your heart. So, I bless you in the name of the Lord that your wish will come true in the work that pleases God.

Second, God works in us to make the desires of our hearts come true.

If you have a wish in your heart, you must work hard to make that wish come true.

Look at Joseph, the man of dreams. Despite the trials and tribulations of his life, he never gave up on his dream. And he did his best where he was, and he was sincere and sincere.

God was with them and worked with them. In due time, God exalted him and made him use the dream for God's purpose. What made them do that? The answer is because God gave them dreams and worked to make them come true.

"It is God who works in you..." Hallelujah

God works in us who live with holy desires and gives us the strength to act. Please believe that God not only grants wishes in our hearts, but works among us to make those wishes come true.

God gave Daniel a wish in his heart. He made me set up the will not to defile me with the things of a foreign country. And he gave us wisdom, courage, and faith to make that wish come true. God says

“Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).

Jesus gave the hearts of his disciples the wish of missionary work to the ends of the earth. And you said:

“Teach them to observe all that I have commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20).

Do you have any wishes? What are you wishing for?

May God give you a wish in your heart. And I bless you in the name of the Lord for giving me strength, wisdom, and strength to make that wish come true.

Let's read today's text again together.

“It is God who works in you, to will and to do for his good pleasure.” (Phil 2:13) Amen
