Title: God Gives Us Strength

Contents

God gives us strength

The most important thing a person needs in life is power. For people, ‘strength’ is life. Without power, a person is dead. By the way, the absolutely necessary thing for a person to have strength is to eat. A car needs oil to get power, but a person needs rice to get power. Rice becomes energy (strength, power) that can move our whole body actively. If you eat rice, you will grow taller and your hair will improve.

Therefore, He gives strength to people by giving them a variety of plants. He also sends sunlight and rain so that plants that give people strength can grow. And God, surprisingly, foresaw the development of human civilization and the need for a lot of energy, and buried an enormous amount of oil underground. He also made coal. He also created uranium, which can provide nuclear power.

However, God does not only give people material strength, but He also provides mental and spiritual strength. In the text, the author of the psalm says, “The Lord is our strength.” In Psalm 18:1, David wrote, “I love you, O LORD my strength.” Also in verses 32-33, “This God girds me with strength and makes my way perfect, and makes my feet like a deer’s, sets me on my heights, teaches my hands to fight, and my arms draw a bronze bow. Come,” he says. David says that God girded him with strength, made his feet jump like a doe, and gave him the strength to win the battle by pulling a bronze bow with his arm.

But sometimes the devil comes as a giver of strength. But the powers the devil gives are destructive and sinful. The devil sneaks up on people and keeps us from knowing the truth and leads us to sin. The devil brings us hopelessness and emptiness in life. I want to be happy, but I don't have the ability to rejoice inside. Therefore, some who are captured by the devil commit suicide. Sometimes the devil puts the power of hate into our hearts. So they fight and kill.

In order to fight and overcome these devils, we need the strength that comes from God. Through the Holy Spirit, God calms the powerful hate that dwells within us and gives us the strength to love. He makes us love and live in the world with hope. Therefore, the apostle Paul prayed for the Ephesians, saying, “Be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit according to the riches of his glory” (Ephesians 3:16).

The Lord gives Christians this strength.

(1) up

The Lord gives us the strength to endure sorrow and pain consolation and hope. The Bible says, “God comforts us in all our afflictions, that we may be able to comfort all who are in trouble” (2 Corinthians 1:4).

(2) The true hope of life

God gives us true hope so that we can overcome all the pains of reality. God gives us the hope of an eternal kingdom. It is the kingdom of God where there is no sin, death and tears. This country is not a dream. It is coming to our reality. God is eternal and is able to give eternal life to His people. Therefore, we must live with the new vision God has given us, that is, the vision of the kingdom of God. You must enjoy the joy of the kingdom of God by pulling it from the world in advance. It is as if students were excited and excited for the day they decided to go on a picnic, looking at the promise of the kingdom of God and enjoying it.

(3) The power to heal the wounds of the heart

The Lord heals any broken heart, frustration, or hopelessness that people have had. He gives you the strength to overcome the urge to commit suicide and live with the hope of life.

(4) the power to love

Also, the Lord gives me the strength to let go of any resentment or hatred in me and to love.

How can we receive the strength that the Lord gives us?

(1) When we hear the Word, we receive strength through realization and shock.

(2) We receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer.

After the ascension of Jesus, about 120 saints, including the 12 apostles, gathered in Mark's upper room, and while praying hard, they received the Holy Spirit that the Lord had promised to send. People receive the Holy Spirit through prayer. God gives the filling of the Holy Spirit to those who pray. Sometimes meditation can also provide strength. When you do not even have the strength to pray aloud, then you can pray through meditation.

(3) We receive strength from the Holy Spirit through praise.
