Title: God Grants My Wishes
Contents
Bible Text: Psalm 37:1-8
God grants my wish
Since childhood, there was a boy who said, “I will become a professional basketball player”. That's why I always lived with a basketball. But no one around him believed him, but the boy, as he said, became a professional basketball player. In this case, it is called self-fulfilling prophecy.
“With the heart one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made, resulting in salvation” (Romans 10:10). A person who lives by saying no and no is not what they say. This is what I'm talking about with such a person. “You are entangled by the words of your mouth, and by the words of your mouth you are taken captive” (Proverbs 6:2).
Hope is the faith that leads people to success. Without hope, nothing can be achieved. Despair is a disease and hope is strength. You need power to make your wish come true. What power will make your wish come true?
The power to not complain
Complaining is the work of the weak. The strong don't complain. Why are you complaining because you don't have the strength? “Do not murmur over evildoers, and do not envy those who do iniquity” (verse 1). Why do people complain? Complaining comes from thinking that it is unfair. Complaints come from the fact that other people's pay is higher than my pay is less.
The owner of the vineyard went to the labor market early in the morning to find laborers. I will give you one tenarion a day, so I told you to go to work in our vineyard. They went to work in the vineyard from 6 in the morning. When I went out again at 9 am, there were people looking for work, so I made them work too. Even at 3 pm, even at 5 pm, I made them go into the vineyard to work. In the evening when the work was finished, the wages were paid, and the person who worked from sunrise and one hour from 5 o'clock gave the same amount of 1 denarius each.
People who have worked since early in the morning complain. How could he give you the amount of hard work he worked in the heat all day, even though he only worked one hour? At that time, my lord said, Friend, I have done nothing wrong with you. Didn't you promise me to give you a tenarius, take what is yours, and do my will with what is mine? Do you see me as evil because I am good? (Matthew 20: 1-16).
I am offended not because I have less, but because he has more than I do. They seem to complain because it's unfair, but they complain because it's fair. There is an English proverb that says, “Whenever there is something fair, there is always someone who complains.”
“Evildoers” and “doers of iniquity” must perish, so why are they doing well? That is the cause of complaints. It's not that I'm complaining that I'm wrong, it's that I don't like it when other people do well.
When rice is placed in the sack, the rice sack is standing. When you scoop out rice, it becomes an empty sack, and the empty sack cannot stand. Complaining is like scooping up and scattering grain. Complaining is about pumping out success energy. It is a small iron skewer that punctures a car tire. If an iron skewer pierces a tire, it punctures and the car is dangerous. Complaining is like an iron skewer.
When they see that their father loves Joseph, the brothers hate and complain. He put colored clothes on Joseph, but when he saw him, he hated him and said that he complained about it (Genesis 37:3-4). What happened to his complaining brothers and Joseph, who was the object of envy and murmuring? Joseph was a dream fulfiller. Those who complained have wasted their lives. If you complain, your wishes will not come true. Complaining is like setting your own house on fire. Complaining is a shortcut to weakening yourself. It is said that a good wife never complains. A good believer has no complaints. Please stop complaining and make your wishes come true.
The power of sincerity
“Trust in the Lord to do good, and dwell on the earth, and let his faithfulness be food” (verse 3). Those who believed in God were sincere. David took care of his father's sheep with sincerity, and when he became king, he ruled the country with sincerity, justice, and an honest heart. He praised God's faithfulness and made himself a faithful man (Psalm 71:22; 1 Kings 3:6). Joshua and Caleb, who returned from spying out the land of Canaan and reported, were faithful (Joshua 14:7). With sincerity as a plant, you can make your wishes come true with the power of sincerity.
You can't double your income unless you do something that doubles the person who says you want it to double. To double, you have to move to double. Do what you used to do with single digits to double digits, and what you used to do with double digits to three digits.
Most people can't focus their energy on what's important. They are unaware that they can use all their resources to unleash great powers. A woman's body constantly radiates energy to conceive and give birth to a baby. Everyone has the ability to make their plans and dreams come true. Draw, build, and invent inventions. Everything that people create and achieve is the result of concentration of energy. Spend less on the things that are not important and focus all your energy on the things that matter.
John Gordon, the son of “Energy Bus,” grew up hearing only negative things. His father denounced the rich as a raven-eater. The logic was that having money makes you a bad person. However, while socializing, I met a good colleague at work. One day, a friend said, “I want you to set a big goal, a goal that is big enough to make you go crazy when it comes true.” That single word gave him direction in life. Thanks to that friend, Gordon became a successful entrepreneur and a best-selling author.
He always carries a bag called “Energy Bag”. What's in it that makes it an energy bag? I carry healthy snacks like raisins and nuts. A black bag containing walking shoes, a favorite book or two, a music CD, green tea, bottled water, and a family photo. I eat snacks when I feel hungry, and after lunch I wear sneakers and walk lightly. He said that listening to music gives you energy. You can see how sincere he is. Integrity is the highest human value.
Drinking plenty of water is good. Lack of water results in irritability, fatigue and headaches. Optimum condition can be maintained when sufficient moisture is supplied. Water provides our body with important nutrients and energy. If you drink water once every 30 minutes, you will also develop resistance to disease and facilitate kidney function. Water removes waste products and turns the fat accumulated in the body into energy. “Dwell on the earth, and let your faithfulness be food for you” (verse 3). Sincerity is the only currency in use everywhere. Sincerity is sincerity and truth. It's the best passion. It is the driving force that makes wishes come true.
The Greek mathematician Alchymides was able to solve a problem he struggled with while taking a bath. It's always been the result of putting my head and effort into it. Not knowing she was naked, she just ran down the street, shouting “Eureka” and “Found it!” It's a wish that you wished for. Sincerity is the energy that makes wishes come true. There is no better energy to make a wish come true than sincerity.
The power to please God
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart” (verse 4). Make God the joy of your soul. It's also about joy. What do you rejoice in? Depending on the object of joy, that joy can be the energy that leads to the fulfillment of a wish, or it can become the fuel of failure.
There are joys that should not be rejoiced. “Do not rejoice when your enemy stumbles, and do not rejoice in your heart when he falls” (Proverbs 24:7)... How long will you keep hating it? (Proverbs 1:22) The young man loves anything, and the arrogant enjoys sarcasm.
Idol worshipers rejoice in idols (Isaiah 44:9), but it is useless to rejoice in idols. What will you gain by rejoicing in idols? “He loved to curse, and it came upon him, and he did not delight in blessing, and the blessing was far from him” (Psalm 109:17).
Power is the ability to act, the driving force and potential that enables you to achieve something. You have to be strong to do what you need to do. The power to please God is the power to make your wishes come true. Because pleasing God is the power that moves God. When I delight in God, God becomes my strength and grants my wishes. The power to please God is the power to make our wishes come true. The Bible says, “The joy of the Lord is your strength. (Nehemiah 8:10).
“Rejoice and worship the Lord God of Spirit...” (Hymns 13)
Rejoice and worship. Rejoice and praise. Rejoice and accept the Word. “Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship” (Romans 12:1). “Does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth, bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things” (1 Corinthians 13:6-7).
Even when hardships and adversities come to those who delight in God, they are able to overcome them. The power to please God is the secret to getting everything you desire. The Bible promises blessings that will come to His people who delight in God. “The wilderness and the dry land will rejoice, the desert will rejoice when it blooms like the lilies, they will rejoice when they bloom in abundance, they will get the glory of Lebanon and the beauty of Sharon, and they will see the glory of the LORD, the beauty of our God” (Isaiah 35 1:1-2)
Dubai, a Middle Eastern country like a poor fishing village, is attracting the world's attention these days. King Sheikh Mohammed was appointed Crown Prince in 1995, transforming it into a hub of the world in just 10 years. The point of his leadership is that, like a fighting general, with the confidence that he can do it, prosperity is a product of man. “He who does not try to change the future remains a slave to the past,” he said. “In Dubai, anything is possible except failure,” and is changing the world by standing at the center of change. He is now waking up sleeping Middle Eastern countries.
Vague wishes cannot be fulfilled. It should be summarized with specific goals. You need to have a plan for how and when you will achieve that goal. God is the One who “takes his hand and casts it with precision” (Job 36:32).
Said Masanori Gandhi, Japan's chief economic consultant. “99% of people look at the present to predict the future, and 1% of people look to the future and decide their actions in the present.” It is said that only 1% of people live today thinking about what they will achieve in the future. It means doing what you have to do now to achieve your wishes and goals. May your wishes come true with the power not to complain, the power of sincerity, and the power to please God.
