Title: God Guided Me

The God who guided me Isaiah 63:07-14
We need to know that God is the maker of the way.
And God is the guide.
God is before us
guides us
The prophet Isaiah speaks of God's guidance in this text:
Isaiah 63:7 I will speak of all the mercies of the LORD, and of his praises, and of the great favor which he has bestowed upon the house of Israel, according to his love, and according to his many mercies.
The word ‘grace’ is the word ‘tube’, which means “good things, goodness, prosperity”.
God is the God who bestows such good things.
The reason Isaiah recalls God's grace in the past is because
God does not change
It was because he believed that he was a God who loved the people he had once chosen to the end.
It was because they believed that God would surely save His people from the afflictions they were facing when they appealed to God's unchanging love.
It is the fact that this grace of God that was bestowed upon Israel is equally extended to all of us who have been saved through faith in Christ today.
God led his people and gave them to his people
What was that grace?
1. It is the grace of mercy.
The word ‘mercy’ in verse 7 is ‘hesed’.
Chesed refers to ‘faithful love that keeps promises’ and is a word that reminds us of God’s covenant of grace.
At the core of God's love for Israel was God's heart to trust the people of Israel.
In other words, God's word, “Children who do not practice lies” (verse 8) expresses God's trust in Israel.
Even if others slander their people,
Believe in his people until the end and lose hope
God's mercy is just that.
Although the prodigal son left his father's arms and led a debauched life, his father always waited for his son who had left home. This is mercy (hesed).
When the son returns to his shabby appearance, the father goes out in tabi feet to meet him, takes off his dirty clothes, bathes him, puts new clothes on him, and shows him a wonderful love that puts a ring on his hand.
And after that, the locals are invited to have a party.
“This my son was lost and is found; he was dead and is alive.”
But my brother was different. complains. I resent my father. He didn't think it was right to hold a feast for his son who returned from eating his father's property. But my father is different.
Forgive and accept your son unconditionally.
This is Heavenly Father's Chesed.
2. It is the grace of being a savior.
“He said, “Surely they are my people, children who do not lie.” And he became their saviors” (verse 8).
When I think of these words, I think of Paul.
As Paul said, “I am who I am only by the grace of God.”
Not only will you make them God's people,
make me a child
Moreover, you are the savior
It is grace upon grace.
God Himself became the savior of the Israelites when they were suffering in slavery in Egypt and freed the chosen people of Israel from slavery in Egypt. He led them with a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night, allowing them to endure 40 years of wandering in the wilderness, and finally led the people of Israel to the land of Canaan.
The prophet Isaiah is telling the Israelites to remember the God who became their savior and showed grace to Israel, who were in such a setback and conflict.
What grace is God giving us today?
Jesus died on the cross to become our savior.
Have you experienced the grace of salvation? If so, thank him.
love him Be loyal to Him.
3. It is a grace given by participating in tribulation.
(I am not alone in my tribulation)
Isaiah 63:9 He shared in all their afflictions, and caused the angel before him to save them, and by his love and mercy he saved them, and lifted up and embraced them in all the days of old.
There is a trap we fall into while living our faith, and I think that if we believe in Jesus, we will not face any more difficulties or tribulation and will live a peaceful life.
However, what we experience is the fact that we can face difficulties even after we believe in Jesus. How can you explain this?
If you look at the Bible, you will see that many people of faith are in tribulation despite their belief in God.
Fundamentally, what we need to know is that for our lives in sin, suffering will always exist until the end of the world.
You have to admit this. But the truth is that God is with you in the midst of such suffering. This is the blessing of Immanuel that I spoke of yesterday at Christmas.
In today's text, the prophet Isaiah
It says that God took part in the tribulation of the people of Israel.
He is the One who comes among us, is with us, and guides our path.
He is a God who covers, comforts, and heals us when we are in crisis and suffer from a broken heart.
God listens to the suffering of His people.
And he is a God who takes the pain very seriously and always shares it with us and saves us.
Dear saints,
Who in the world cares and participates in your suffering so much? Today's reality is that even brothers run away if it's a burdensome task.
but God
You are always with me in the scene of your suffering,
He comes to us in trouble,
He is the one who Himself binds up and heals.
God bless us
Call us God's holy people
Call me to the company you have chosen.
I will meet you in the wasteland, in the wild howling of the beast
He guards and protects, he guards like the pupil of his eye,
Deuteronomy 32:10
It is the God who guides them alone and is with them.
Deuteronomy 32:12
How great is God's love and grace for us.
Thank you for that love.
