God in human flesh (John 1:1-18)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning, and all things were made through him, and nothing that was made was made without him (John 1:1-18). )
Jesus was not born through the relationship between man and woman, but was mysteriously conceived through the Holy Spirit. But only a few of Jesus' parents and relatives knew about this. To those who did not know this, Jesus was too ordinary. As the eldest son of a family whose father passed away early, he was a steady young man who helped his mother with the household. The name ‘Jesus’ was a common name. If you pronounce the word Joshua in the Old Testament in Greek, it becomes Jesus. When Jesus was born, this name was a name that many people had.
But when Jesus was about 30 years old, he started making strange noises. “My Father is God in heaven. I am the Son of God.” The villagers and relatives who did not know that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit thought Jesus was crazy. If Jesus was not God and considered himself to be God, then he must have been crazy. But when you listen to what Jesus said after that, he wasn't crazy. Jesus' words were always consistent and powerful. It wasn't something a crazy person could say.
The claim that Jesus is not God but human like us has continued to this day. Jesus is a human being with religious genius, but when he was baptized by John the Baptist, the Spirit of God entered him and he became like a god. However, in today's Bible verse, John clearly states that Jesus is God. Compare John the Baptist and Jesus. Certainly John the Baptist was a religious genius. He was a man who reached the divine realm by the presence of the Spirit of God. But it was always a person.
But Jesus is different. He is clearly God. First, Jesus existed before all the world was created. Jesus came into the world from now to 2015, but that was not His beginning. He existed from eternity, and He came to the world at that time in a human body to save mankind. Second, Jesus, together with God the Father, created the heavens and the earth and everything in them. Jesus has the power to create. He demonstrated his creative power by raising the dead and calming the seas and winds. Jesus came as the visible God. God is invisible to man, but He came as a visible God to save mankind.
