Title: God Intervenes/Exodus 14:13-18
Content God intervenes / Exodus 14:13-18
Key Verse: “The Lord will fight for you; be still” (Exodus 14:14).
Word: “No, God, I thought that something special was going on by letting us camp by the sea. What is this? Why do you keep putting me in a corner? If you do this, how am I going to lead the people out!” Perhaps Moses cried out to God like this. In front, the Red Sea overflowing with blue water. Behind it, Egyptian chariots are rushing at you, smelling the blood of slaughter. A huge crowd that has already lost control and is running rampant, what to do with it.
None of what God is saying to Moses right now makes any sense. “Aren’t you afraid?” No, how can you not be afraid in the current situation? ‘Do you want me to stand still?’ What is it other than a pure compulsion? How can you stay still? I'm going to die like this and die like this, so don't lose my strength for nothing, do you mean to stay still? In fact, there is no way to escape. God purposely encamped in a dead end, and He locked him up.
When the situation was like this, Moses also cried The people are clamoring, giving up in fear, and using evil, but the leader Moses did not stand unconcerned. Moses was also embarrassed and cried out to God for help. Not only the crowd, but the leaders are all in awe. Who will break through the situation? No one. That is God's plan. Now God is coming. Listen to the word of God delivered by Moses. “Do not be afraid. Stand still with faith and see what God is doing. We will never see the Egyptian soldiers running towards us now. God fights for us.”
There are times in life when this may or may not be the case. It is time to kneel in prayer. It's time to wait for God's hand. After all, there is only one way if there is nothing we can do. God's intervention. Remember. The Lord does not sleep.
Which of the two are we looking at, the emotions that depend on the environment or the promises of God based on the Bible? Let's believe in the promise of the Word and walk.
Prayer: Help me to trust your word more than circumstances. May you be at peace in the midst of difficulties. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
