Title: God is in me

p; Philippians 2:12-16
p; People who believe in God always live in relationships in three directions. The first is relationship with God. The second is your relationship with yourself. The third is our relationship with the world. Today's text speaks of these three relationships.
p; First, your relationship with God/work out your salvation with fear and trembling in constant submission (2:12).
bsp; The relationship between a person of faith and God is a relationship of submission. Faith is not my judgment of the Word. Faith is absolute obedience to the Word. Faith is a gift from God, but it also requires human determination. That decision is from the moment I started believing, 'I will absolutely obey the word of God'.
bsp; ‘To obey what you want to obey is sweeter than beautiful freedom.’ (Han Yong-un)
Faith is the obedience of love. It is through this obedience that salvation is achieved. To achieve salvation does not mean to work out salvation gradually. It is a message to complete the salvation you have already received with the spirituality of the saved person. Salvation comes through faith, but our character is not perfect. A Christian is a being on the road who must achieve character and spirituality in the form of a saved person. Getting a driver's license doesn't make you a good driver. It's just the beginning. The saints are saved. But we still have to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.
bsp; The meaning of the phrase “with fear and trembling” is to have a humble, kneeling awe. It means not to think that you have made it yourself or to forget the grace of Jesus and not boast about your merits. When we always realize our shortcomings before God and obey Him with fear and trembling, we can achieve perfect salvation. The relationship a believer has with God is obedience of love.
p; Second, your relationship with yourself / It is God who works in you (2:13).
bsp; This verse tells how the saints should think and live for themselves. A person's lifestyle changes depending on how he views himself. Those who think of humans as animals have no choice but to live like animals. A person who thinks that life is all over when he dies has no choice but to live an empty life the more he lives. But those who are convinced that they are God's people will lead a holy life.
p; The report of the 12 spies in Numbers 13:25-33 is an event that makes it clear how who you think affects your life. Those who viewed themselves as locusts by comparing only their outward appearances trembled in fear and went down the road of defeat. However, those who believed that God was working within them defeated the great Canaanites and took possession of the land.
p; A Christian sees the world through his soul, not his outward appearance. See the soul as the soul. See your own soul as a soul. We should not be proud or discouraged by our outward appearance. Do not forget that even though I am lacking, I am God's chosen people and the temple where the Holy Spirit of God dwells in me. Appreciate and love your own soul. At that time, the power to overcome the world comes from there.
p; He said, “He who is in you is God.” Confidence and a passionate sense of duty come from knowing who I am.
bsp; “God is with me.”
bsp; “God is with us in our homes.”
bsp; “God is with me in what I do.”
bsp; “God bless my future.”
This is the conviction of the person of faith. God makes a holy wish in a person of such confidence. He told us to hope for a will that is pleasing to God. Believe that God is within you, and have a holy wish. Even if you can't do it now, make a wish. Then the time will come when that will be the case. Because God is a God who makes wishes and makes them work, He works on those who have desires. Wish to pray. Wish to receive the Holy Spirit. May my life be to the glory of God. Then the time will come when you will hear the voice of the Lord's blessing.
p; He said, “It is God who works in you.” That is the relationship and confidence of the person of faith to himself. It is this conviction that creates a holy wish, and it creates the capacity to bear whatever it may be. Be people of faith who believe that the Holy Spirit is with you.
p; Third, the relationship with the world / to appear as lights among them in the world (2:15).
bsp; The world is becoming more and more distorted and degenerate into an image that is against God. In this world, believers are to live as the light in the world with no blemish and purity. The relationship of the saints with the world is a relationship of light.
bsp; You are the light of the world...
bsp; Let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good deeds
bsp; Give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16
People of faith are those who are called to live as “light” to the world. We are with the world, but we are not part of this 'perverted and perverse generation'. People of faith belong to heaven and are children of light. Therefore, we must live by the light. That light will be the power of God to save the world.
p; There is such a gospel song.
bsp; Somewhere in this world, it’s someone else, whether you know it or not
bsp; Think of people doing good things, and your heart will be bright.
The world is still bright because there are people somewhere in this world who do the will of the Lord, whether they know it or not. Even those who are crooked and treacherous, looking at the people who shined brightly, straighten their minds and wash their minds. Shouldn't we Christians be that good worker somewhere in this world? Shouldn't it be our Antioch Christians? Shouldn't it be just you?
p; To all believers who want to become true Christians, I hope you will live a light life. In the field of your life, I hope that you become a light that illuminates your surroundings by living as bright, clear, and clean as you can.
p; Even if we are weak and can't handle it, God will make it possible through the Holy Spirit to those who believe and have holy wishes. In the Gospel of John, the Holy Spirit is called the “Counselor.” To call the Holy Spirit the Comforter is to express the role of the Holy Spirit. The phrase “helper” (保惠師) is a very difficult word. Co-translation is a 'collaborator'. Not only Korean but also English Bibles use different words for each translation. In RSV and NIV it is translated as Counseler. Translated as Comforter in KJV. In the modern English Bible, the Good News Bible, it is translated as Helper. Paul, who originally wrote this epistle, wrote παρακλητος in Greek. Paracletos is a term that includes all the words in all the previous translations. It contains the meaning of giving strength, building up, courage, and comfort. It is a word that cannot be put into words. It means that the Holy Spirit is the spirit of grace that strengthens, encourages, builds, and comforts.
p; It is God who works in you. It means that the Holy Spirit is in you. So you are a temple. Believe this. Through this faith, the Holy Spirit will build us up, strengthen us, comfort us, and enable us.
p; You are people of faith. They are saved people. Therefore, I want you to become a person of absolute obedience before God. Please believe that the Spirit of God dwells within you. And live in the light of this crooked and rebellious generation. I bless you, people of faith, that the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, the Comforter, and the Comforter, will always be with you, Paracletos.
