Title: God Knows/Job 34:16-33
Content Job 34:16-33
God knows
Who is God in the text?
##### 1. He knows the way of people.
In verse 21, Elihu said,
Truly, this means that God knows who is walking and where he is walking. That is why it is confessed in Psalm 139:3.
God knows everything, and He knows the path we are taking.
However, it seems that people are well aware of the path they are currently walking on, but in reality they are not. That is why it is said that some paths are right in the eyes of men, but ultimately they are the way of death.
In fact, in a way, most people do not know the path they are walking. So, from a spiritual point of view, everyone is like someone who is wandering in an endless mystery.
--And the appearance of these people is like a defeated soldier who is being chased by a desperate battlefield, even if he turns toward his ally, he ruins it, but rather digs into the enemy's camp. When you think about the fact that you are walking now, but you do not know what the path is, where else can you find such sorrow? Therefore, we must all entrust our way to God and follow Christ, who is the true way.
--Let's follow the Lord who is our way.
##### 2. Knows the actions of people
Verse 25 of the text...
It means that God has a deep understanding of what a person is doing now. The psalmist also confessed in Psalm 139:2,3.
Just as God knows all the paths I am walking on right now, He also knows what I am doing right now. God never once took his eyes off us.
On the other hand, people seem to be well aware of what they are doing, but in reality they are not at all.
--I am well aware of the fact that a high wooden pole was erected to put this Jew, who was the minister of the Persian kingdom, to death. He triumphantly erected the pillar, but in the end he fell into it and died. (Esther 7:10)
A French man was executed by his own execution device, which he later called 'Girotine'. It's not necessarily the same, but most people don't know what they're doing. God is familiar with what we are doing, but we do not even know what he is doing.
That is why some are digging their own graves, and they are ecstatic. Therefore, church members should entrust all events to God.
Proverbs 16:3...
Proverbs 16:9...
##### 3. He knows people's petitions. That is, he knows all that we ask
In verse 28 of the text, Elihu said,
God knows the prayers of the afflicted and suffering. The psalmist also confessed in Psalm 139:2,4.
But sometimes we wonder, 'Is God really listening to prayers like this?' There are times when you have doubts. Compared to the noise of the world, my prayers are only one voice. But God listens to the pleas of our hearts more than our voices.
God heard Hannah's prayer with only her lips moving, and Abel fell to death without a single word, but even heard the cry of his blood.
-- Century theologian Paul Tillich said while interpreting Romans 8:26. God is listening to all of us.
The problem lies in the extent to which our pleadings are, and there is no voice that God cannot hear. Therefore, we must leave everything to God. Because God is a Spirit, it is invisible to the human eye, but He sees through our ways, our deeds, and our entreaties.
Therefore, we should not try to deceive even the slightest bit of anything before God, and we should leave everything to Him.
I bless you in the name of the Lord to live a life of prayer.
