Title: God Leads Us
Contents
God guides us
Deuteronomy is the sermon of Moses.
the people of Israel
What to keep
This is a lesson about what happens when you disobey.
Specially today's chapter 1
After receiving the report of the 12 spies who returned from spying out the land of Canaan,
When Israel grumbled and complained, Moses disciplined and rebuked them.
How did God lead the people Israel?
1. He was the God who took the lead.
God is our companion on the path of life.
He is not a God who sits behind and watches.
Deuteronomy 1:30 “God is doing what goes before you.
Jehovah your God.”
How did the Israelites get out of Egypt?
The people of Israel did not come out of unity.
God was the one who led their way ahead of them.
Jacob's children had a famine
Before going down to Egypt to buy food
He sent Joseph there in advance to become Prime Minister.
It's still a cool thing.
I don't know when or where something will happen
We pray that God will not forget that He is working ahead of us.
So there is no need to be afraid and there is no need to be afraid.
You have to be bold.
May we trust in God who is working ahead of us.
2. He was a God who embraces and leads. (verse 31)
God guides us
how to protect
It is hugging you and guiding you.
As a man embraces his son
When our God brought the Israelites out of Egypt
He took the people and brought them here.
Psalm:23 David confesses this:
“Though I pass through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me.”
3. He is the God who directs the way to the pillar of fire and cloud.
God ahead of the Israelites
Find a place to pitch your tent
Fire by night, pillar of cloud by day
He is the one who directs the way of the people.
Two meanings of the pillar of fire and the pillar of cloud
<1> The God who protects from the cold of the night and the heat of the day.
<2> The God who points in the direction and the God who guides from 800 meters away.
What should I do to experience this grace?
1. Don't be afraid to look only at the environment.
- People only see the environment.
2. We must believe in the promise and depend on God.
- Believe in your amazing plan for me.
