Sermons for Preaching

Title: God Makes It./Joshua 24:29-33

Through about 40 episodes, I was able to understand that I received many graces while preaching to Joshua at dawn, that what God promised will surely come true, and those who believe and go forward will surely enjoy the promise. And when you see the progress of Joshua's army, believing that God's promises will be fulfilled, and marching toward Canaan with faith, you can't tell how excited you are.

It failed once because of the greed of a man named Achan, and the residents of Gibeon were deceived by a perfect deception.

God fought with various tactics, but Jericho fortress did not raise a spear once, he just circled around the fortress and collapsed it, while Ai fortress was a surprise operation. Sometimes he sent hail, and sometimes he sent bumblebees to win.

That period was about 5-7 years, and all of the kings defeated by Joshua became 31 kings, so how great is that?

When Joshua grew old and grew old, he gathered the Israelites together in Shechem and reminded them of what God had said during the last sermon, emphasizing that they should serve only Jehovah God.

“And I gave you a land on which you did not labor, and cities that you did not build, and you live in them, and you eat of the vineyards and olive groves which you did not plant. Serve him with reverence and with integrity and truth, put away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the river and out of Egypt, and serve the Lord. Choose today whom you will serve, the gods of the Amorites in the land of

If you believe in the promise and go forward, land will be created without hard work, and cities will be created that were not built. They ate the fruit of vineyards and olive groves that they had not planted.

Dear saints, sweating and hard work is not a way of possessing, but you must rely on God's promises and go forward in faith to receive the blessings of the earth and abundant material blessings.

Christians are different from unbelievers. The way to get rich is different, and the way is as different as the earth and the sky. Don't even imitate the ways of the world.

1. This is Joshua.

The man who is the main character in the text and who occupies the land for us who are about to build the church now is a man to imitate in his courageous and religious life.

His life came to an end at the age of 110. If we take a brief look at his life, he can be summed up in one word as "a man who is not left or right in the Word of God."

In chapter 1, God raised Joshua and said, “As I said to Moses, I have given you all the places where the soles of your feet tread, from the wilderness and this Lebanon to the great river, the Euphrates, all the Hittites. It will be your territory from the land and from the setting sun to the Great Sea. No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life, for I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous, and you I will make this people possess the land that I swore to my ancestors to give them, but be strong and very courageous, and keep and do all the laws that Moses my servant commanded you, and do not turn to the right or to the left, so that you may prosper wherever you go. Do not let the book of the law depart from your mouth, and meditate on it day and night, and observe and do all that is written in it, so that your way will be smooth, and you will prosper. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. The LORD your God is with you.” (3-9)

Joshua did not deviate even a single step from the Word of God, did not turn left or right, and boldly went forward in faith. Eventually, he took possession of Canaan, the promised land that God would give him, and he defeated 31 kings (Joshua 12:24).

If we stand firm on the word of God and live without wavering, why can't we receive blessings?

If you ignore God's word and live according to your own will, things get tangled and fail, and your tail falls down in front of God's work.

“Do not let this book of the law depart from your mouth, and meditate on it day and night, and observe all that is written in it, so that you may prosper, and your way will be smooth. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid, do not be dismayed. Wherever you go, the Lord your God is with you.” How could this be true of Joshua? The same is true for all of God's people. What did Jesus say? Didn't he say, "I will always be with you, even to the end of the world"?

Joshua was a type of Jesus Christ, who would come and become our captain and deliver us from all our enemies.

Saints! Please be Joshua in this age.

2. This is Joseph.

Of course, only the ashes of Joseph who were buried in Canaan appear in the text, but it is so wonderful that we have to think about Joseph once again, and we who live in this age as one who enjoyed the blessings of power and material things from God in one body. He is a very attractive person to us who are about to build a church. Because we also need material things, and we are praying to obtain them through God's method, not man's.

Joseph is, in a word, "a man of dreams." He was a person who had the belief that the dream God gave to him would come true for both sides of heaven and earth, and he went ahead with the dream he gave him, and eventually that dream came true, and he gained power and wealth, and was inspired by God’s work of saving countless lives. He became a person of great use.

He became a type of Jesus, who will come and save all people on this earth. In other words, Joseph was used to show the miniatures of what Jesus would do.

Because he had a dream in his heart, he endured all kinds of trials, temptations, and conspiracies, and when he gained great power and wealth, he did not retaliate against those who set him in the sun, and those who set him in the sun also brought up Joseph under the sovereignty of God. He confessed that it was used as a tool for building.

Our Lighthouse Church also has a dream. Thousands of souls will come to this place freed by the power of God. And through those souls, God's great work will be accomplished. It is a dream that churches will be built everywhere, the Gospel will be expanded, Gumi will become a livable city because of the Gospel, and this nation and the world will be renewed. The desire to build a church now is only the beginning. I would like to say that I do not use the term church building or temple building, but rather expansion of facilities for God's work.

God-given dreams come true. I believe your dreams will come true. I hope that you will become the Joseph of this age who has the dream God has given to you and experiences God's fulfillment.

3. This is Eleazar.

Eleazar was the third son of Moses' brother Aaron the high priest, and he served God as a priest and served as a priest like his father Aaron and his brothers. According to Numbers 3:32, he became the elder of the chieftains of the Levites and presided over those in charge of the sanctuary. , he was also in charge of kerosene, spices, and sanctuary utensils, and directed all sanctuary services (Numbers 4:16-20). Just before his father Aaron died, at the command of the Lord, Moses took Aaron and Eleazar up to Mount Hor, and took off Aaron's clothes and put them on Eleazar son, so that he could succeed his father Aaron, and Aaron died on that mountain. Num. 20:22-29; Deut. 10:6). After Aaron's death, he served as a priest for two generations, Moses and Joshua, and entered Canaan with Joshua.

Who is Eleazar? Although there is no record of his activities in the book of Joshua, Joshua was "a man who quietly fulfilled his role fully in his appointed position" as high priest in Joshua's occupation of Canaan.

What has always been central to the people of Israel? It was the Ark of the Covenant of God, and the Ark of the Covenant is the most important part of the spiritual part of Israel. The one who oversees it is the high priest. When crossing the Jordan River, when the priest carrying the ark of the covenant was the first to descend on the Jordan River, the Jordan River stopped at the top, and Israel crossed the Jordan on dry land. When they went around Jericho, the trumpeter priests were at the forefront, and the priests carrying the ark of the covenant were behind them. It was also the merit of Eleazar the High Priest that he was able to carry out all these missions splendidly.

Dear saints, God's great works will happen when you are faithful to the mission entrusted to you in your given position. When you quietly carry out your duties at church schools, choirs, parishes, districts, institutions, and missions, what the church wants to do will come true.

May you all become Eleazar in this age.

God can do anything. We are just extensions of what He is doing. Stand firm in the word like Joshua and move forward boldly, have dreams like Joseph, believe that God will make it happen, do not become discouraged by the surrounding environment or harsh reality, and go forward believing that both heaven and earth will come true, Eleazar Like a priest, let's remain faithful in the position we have set for the mission entrusted to us now.

Just as God forgave the sins of all mankind through Jesus Christ, I hope that it will be a good tool to use, believing that He will accomplish all the things He wants through us who believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior.
