Title: God Makes You Grow
Contents
(Psalm 121:1-8, 1 Corinthians 3:4-9)
It's a hot summer day. People say it's hot and they sweat profusely, but they say that the plants and grains in the mountains and springs are in season and are growing to their heart's content. Now is the season for all things to grow. People are now about to take a break from their work and go on summer vacation, and students now have time to take a break for summer vacation.
However, in this Bible verse, there is a 'planter' and a 'waterer', but after reading 'God is the one who makes it grow', I found out that now is the time of rest, but only God is the only one who heals all things. I was sweating profusely to make it grow, and I thought it was the season to work even in this heat.
What we realize here is that, first, man is a being who can only do partial work, even if he does God's work.
The point is that humans are not the Almighty who sow, water, weed, nurture, and even grow. God is like a building owner, and when building the building called the Kingdom of God, He makes various workers work in various parts, just like carpenters, plasterers, bricklayers, designers, and supervisors hire indescribable partial workers. Therefore, God's workers should not have the idea that they are in charge of everything. No matter how capable a worker is, I must have the humility of being a partial worker.
Next, we come to understand from this verse of the Bible that no matter how good a human being, no matter how well he does, the kingdom of God is raised by God, and the kingdom of God is established by God, and humans are not the protagonists of the kingdom of God.
It is a fact that human beings are co-workers in the kingdom of God, not masters. Even if you sow a seed, it is a confession that "It is God who makes it grow." It is a fact that “It is God who makes it grow” even if you give it water. The greatest sin that man commits is that of transgressing God. Just as a man who kills his father, no matter how dishonest he is, is a heinous man.
Even among us believers, there are times when those who claim to believe more proudly present themselves as if they are making the kingdom of God that God makes us grow. There are times when I revive the church and take pride in it as if I were raising it. The horrors of this sin and its punishment are well known from the history of Judea. Why did the Jews perish after being bound by glass for thousands of years? They said that they loved the temple fervently, that they served God better, and that they judged the world from God's place. In the end, Jesus was punished for the sins that he killed because it was against God's will, and he was destroyed for two thousand years. It is not the penalty for robbery or theft.
"The church makes God grow. Faith makes God grow. It is not me who makes this world the kingdom of God, but God Himself. The Holy Spirit leads this world according to God's will" is a confession of faith. Unbelief has an opportunity to believe, but false beliefs have no chance to believe again.
Faith that "God makes you grow" is a confession of "I am an assistant to myself, not a protagonist". The confession of faith that God makes it grow is the conviction that "If you sow a seed, God will make the seed grow. As long as you water it, God will make the grain grow well and bear fruit."
Our church decided to make the second half of this season a period of evangelism for all the church members, and last week successfully completed the summer Bible school where hundreds of children planted and watered the seeds of the gospel. Thank you to the many hard working teachers. Thank you to the deacons and deacons who worked hard to support us. However, the lesson that you water the seeds of the gospel planted in your young breasts during this time is that you must have the conviction of faith that God will make them grow. He is the God who makes the seed grow by planting it and watering it.
