Title: God of Blessing Text: Deuteronomy 7:12-17
God always wants to bless us. It is the heart of God that we receive blessings and live while enjoying those blessings. God wants to somehow fill us with many things. It's not just pouring out though. God requires dedication before giving us blessings. Of course, no matter how much we dedicate ourselves, it is not enough to be worthy of God's blessing. But, how much does God love God even if we lack it? you want to see Today's text also teaches the Israelites what to do in order to receive God's blessing and live there when God gave the land of blessing to the people of Israel. God is preparing many blessings. He is saying that he has all the blessings that human beings need, but he doesn't just give them.
1. The source of blessing is God.
Deuteronomy 7:12 The word for blessing is the Greek word macarios. This word has four meanings. The first was used to teach the existence or attributes of God. In the Bible, the word “blessed God” appears a lot. In other words, the source of blessing is God. The blessing of the womb is the blessing of knowing God, the blessing of serving God, the blessing of being chosen by God, and the blessing of being saved by God. -Do you believe?- Second, blessing has the meaning of 'giving it to God'. The real blessing is that I can live a life dedicated to God. True blessings are not found only in having, but when we give to God. Third, blessing has the meaning of 'contributing' in the life of another. Fourth, ‘oasis in the desert’ means blessing. True happiness is not dependent on circumstances or circumstances, but springs from within.

The grain, wine, and oil mentioned here are the three most important products of the Israelites. So the Israelites regarded it as a special gift from God. These are the most important essentials that people can achieve through work. God is saying that He will bless you abundantly in these things. I wish you this blessing.
Third is the blessing of health. Deuteronomy 7:15 Health is one of the important blessings. No matter how much material there is, if it is not healthy, it is a rice cake. God has promised to bring blessings of health to those who keep the Word and live obediently.
4. Be aware that there are obstacles that stand in the way of blessing.
Deuteronomy 7:16 A snare is an obstacle that causes stumbling, death, and ruin. We need to know that there are obstacles that keep us from receiving God's blessings, and that destroy us and cause us to fall. That is idolatry. That is why God is telling us to destroy everything that can worship idols. It is to completely eliminate the conditions, circumstances, or factors that can lead to idolatry. If you leave it, one day you will fall over because of it. We must put away all idols in our hearts, idols of life, and idols of faith, and depend only on God to live. Then you can live as a blessed person.
