Title: God of Comfort
Title: God of Comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3-7)
David Wilkerson (founder of Times Square Church in New York) told the Christian newspaper about the love of God that overwhelms everything. This is what he wrote on his blog the morning of his sudden death in a car accident: “All those who pass through the dark valley of death! Listen to me, the dark and dreadful nights of tears will linger. But soon you will hear the Father's voice whispering in the darkness. i am with you I can't tell you why you're going through a dark night right now, but you'll find out someday in the future. It was all part of my plan, it wasn't an accident, it wasn't your failure, it wasn't your failure. I'll hold you tight in times of pain, don't be shaken, my dear ones! God always works with goodness and love. Even if all means are exhausted, God's love overcomes all things So hold on to your faith and stand firm in the word of God There is no other hope in the world.
That's right. There is no one who can always separate us from the love of God.
Romans 8:35 “Who will separate us from the love of Christ? tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword.”
We hope that this will be a precious time for us to realize God who comforts us through the text.
3 “Blessed be the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy and the God of all comfort.”
Our God is worthy of praise, the Father of mercy, the God of all comfort.
Our God is a God of comfort.
When we are in trouble and adversity, the Lord speaks to us. Isaiah 40:29 He gives strength to the weary, and he gives strength to the weak. 30 Even the youth grow weary and weary, and the young men stumble and fall: 31 But those who wait in the Lord will find new strength, like eagles soaring up with wings, and running. I will not grow weary, and I will walk and not be weary.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, I will help you, yea, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
4 He comforts us in all our afflictions, so that with the comfort we receive from God, we are able to comfort those in all our afflictions.
Job did not lose heart in the midst of hardships and afflictions, but he confessed, Job 23:10, “But he knows the way I go, and after he has tested me I will come out as pure gold.”
5 As the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so also our comfort abounds through him.
Philippians 2:8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 both in heaven and on earth and on earth. Let all who are below kneel at the name of Jesus,

Paul Peter Thomas Apostle John Jeremiah Isaiah
6 When we are afflicted, it is for you to be comforted and saved, and when we are comforted, it is for you to be comforted, and this comfort works in you, so that you may endure the same afflictions that we suffer.
Isaiah 53:5 He was pierced for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and with his wounds we are healed.
2 Corinthians 8:9 And you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that while he was rich, for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.
God is a God of comfort. He is a God of comfort to those in tribulation, suffering, and need.
James 1:27 Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
He is the God who cares for orphans and widows.
God is a God of comfort.
7 Our hope for you is firm, knowing that just as you are partakers of suffering, so will you be in comfort.
We share in suffering because our hope is strong. We say that we share in suffering in this way by the grace of God who comforts us.
God is a God of comfort,...
I hope that you will not forget the God of comfort in the midst of hardship and adversity under any circumstances, and that you will become precious believers who advance toward that high place in the future.
