Title: God of Restoration/Acts 9:36-43
A third-year high school boy came to the hospital. No matter how many books you read, your mind only goes ahead and never enters your head. I read the book over and over all night and read it over and over again, but nothing stuck in my head. He said he cried, not knowing what to do. This student had strong self-esteem and a strong desire to study. So far, grades have been in the top group.
But one day, he suddenly loses his motivation and feels tired all the time. It was 'Exhaustion Syndrome'. Excessive use of mental energy causes these symptoms. All mental activity requires energy. You can study well only when mental energy is supplied. Energy is depleted if consumed without charging. This condition is called exhaustion syndrome. The doctor advised the student to close the book for a while and rest for a week. He advised me to watch movies and travel with my father and eat a lot of meat and vegetables. And since it is a sleep aid, he prescribed me to sleep for at least 8 hours. The student obeyed me well, even though there was no time for leisure. The student recovered and returned to school in three days.
If we do not recover from fatigue and exhaustion in our body, mind, and spiritual state, our lives will come to ruin.
If you need surgery to remove the appendix, but if there is no recovery, you will never be able to have surgery and you will not be able to fix the disease while knowing the cause. After surgery, if the digestive system is inserted into the stomach, it will wriggle on its own, and gas comes out when it sits down.
If we do not recover, we will eventually die. can't sustain life In the end, all treatment in the hospital is possible because of God who restores. That is why there is a saying that God heals diseases and doctors receive money. In the book of Jeremiah it says, "I will make new flesh sprout from your wounds, and I will heal you."
Thus, the God we believe in is the restorer. God created six days and rested on the seventh day. It is the day God has given us for restoration. They farm on the land for 6 years, and in the 7th year, they give rest to the cultivated land. leave the ground undisturbed It is the wisdom that God taught us to restore the land.
The Israelites were enslaved as slaves in Egypt. Although they were God's people, they were not like the people of God's kingdom. God brought them out of Egypt. to enter the land of Canaan. What is it for? I brought you out of Egypt to restore this promise: I will be your God and you will be my people.
Also, the people of Israel sinned and lost their kingdom. became desolate. The temple in Jerusalem was destroyed. God is calling out to them. "I will build you up again." It is like a wilderness, but it will become a beautiful field and a forest. “Here it is said that it is desolate, without people and without animals, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, which are desolate, without people, without inhabitants, and without animals; Give thanks, and the voice of those who offer thanksgiving in the temple of the LORD will be heard again."
Individuals, families, nations, peoples, and even the land will be destroyed if not restored. But the God we believe in is our restorer. As I was preparing the Word at the prayer center, I looked at the tree on the mountain. The tree seems to be saying this to me. "We are restoring the dirty air clean." The natural order has the power to restore. That is the work of God.
Look at the text of the text. There was a female disciple named Tabitha. This man was truly a good man who did a lot of good deeds and alms. He died of illness, washed his body and laid it in an attic, and many people mourned his death. He rushed to Peter and begged for his life. Peter sends the people out and kneels in prayer. He said to the corpse, "Tabitha, get up." He opened his eyes, saw Peter, and sat up. Life was restored to Davida.
This was not done by Peter, but by God. The history of restoring life appeared in Davida. God is the restorer of life.
A revival meeting will be held from this afternoon worship service. What is a revival meeting? The theology of the revival church I believe in is "restoring life force". Directions so that the dead come back to life, those who fell down rise again, those who were in despair gain hope, those who have not been zealous in the meantime become zealous, those who thought negatively think positively, and those who descended go up It is a revival meeting to change. Life must be restored through a revival meeting.
Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. Jesus went to Lazarus's tomb while the family of Lazarus was grieving over the loss of his brother. He said Lazarus, come out. Lazarus came out of the tomb. vitality has been restored.
On the Sabbath, Jesus entered the synagogue, and there was a man with a withered right hand. That person's hands are getting more and more curved. My hands are starting to shrink. Jesus went to the man and said, “Stretch out your hand.” Jesus restored his hand.
The Restoring Lord restores our shrinking form. These days, many people are dying from the economic cold wave. I'm starting to feel myself getting smaller and smaller. The Lord who restores this condition comes to us and tells us to stretch out your right hand. The Lord restores our increasingly deteriorating condition.
The revival meeting is the history of restoration. In particular, it is God's work of restoring life.
Then, how can we experience this grace of restoration? According to the Bible, when we return to God, we experience the grace of restoration. look at the prodigal He took his portion from his father and left his father's side. He lost everything he had and became a beggar. There was nothing to eat. But when he returns to his father's arms, everything is restored.
The fact that my father ran without walking was a shameful act at the time, but his father said, 'I was still far away, but when he saw me, he felt pity and ran to hug me and kiss me'. This means that the father does not accept the prodigal son as a laborer, but restores him as a son. forgiveness and restoration In addition, his father gave him 'the best clothes', which meant giving him the honor of a distinguished guest, and he put 'a ring finger on his hand', which meant that he gave the authority of his father's representative and wore 'shoes on his feet', which It meant setting up a free master rather than a slave, and slaughtering a 'fat calf' and giving it a feast to enjoy, which meant the best hospitality.
Father said, "We ate and rejoiced, and this my son was dead and is alive again; I was lost and is found again." And the banquets "rejoiced."
President Lincoln was once asked how he would deal with Confederates who opposed the United States when they returned from war. The interrogator had expected an answer from Lincoln that he would take revenge. But Lincoln replied unexpectedly, "I'll treat them like they've never left." This is the attitude of the father in the text.
No matter how much we are broken, no matter how ugly we are, if we return to God, God will restore us.
The people of Israel lost their country. The prophet Hosea calls "Come, let us return to the LORD, for the LORD has torn us, but he will heal us; he has struck us, but he will bind us up. After two days he will raise us up, and on the third day he will raise us up, and we will live before him. " Let us return to God, and he will heal us and bind us up.
We believe that God will restore us all as long as anyone returns to the Lord. I hope this crusade will be a precious time for all of us to turn to the Lord. We trust that God will restore us all.
Think of the hearts of fathers and mothers. It expresses the hearts of fathers and mothers like the sea. What are the characteristics of the sea? It is a characteristic of the sea to receive anything. The sea does not receive it separately. The sea does not distinguish between hot and cold water. The sea receives everything that is washed away after the flood. This is the heart of a parent and the heart of God.
When we return to God, God accepts us. He restores all of us. bring you back to life make you start again make you get up again
Prophet Hosea calls for a return to God to experience the grace of restoration. He will raise us up and raise us up. A more important expression follows. “Therefore, let us know the Lord, and let us do our best to know the Lord.” It is a confession that we must know the Lord in order to return to the Lord. Knowing here is not just knowing with your head. You have to experience the Lord in your heart.
A child who has left home needs to know the heart of the parent to be able to return. There was a middle-aged woman who lost her husband early and lived alone with her only daughter. Once, I heard that my beloved daughter had run away and was working in a bar in a city. The mother went looking for a place where her daughter could be and distributed flyers. However, there was no picture of the daughter on the flyer. Along with the mother's photo, the following text was written: "Dear daughter, your mother is eagerly waiting for you." The mother thought that if she drew a picture of her daughter on the flyer, her face would be known and people would feel ashamed. So, instead of her daughter, she drew a picture of herself. In the end, the daughter returned to her mother's arms three days after running away from home. And wept tears of contrition. "I couldn't turn away from my mother's deep love. Thank you for the love that was put to shame for me."
The daughter who knew her mother's heart returned to her mother's arms. The grace of restoration has come.
We too must know God. You must experience God. Let's listen to what God is saying to me through this crusade. Let's understand God's thoughts. And let us all return to God. God will restore us.
