Title: God Remembers
Hebrews 6:1-10 God remembers. Subject: 32. growth. 2008. 9. 28.
◎ Introduction: We must stand upright in the Word.
A careful effort must be made to keep the tension in check so that the Bible speaks for itself.
1. Spiritual maturity (1-3)
One). You have to get out of the elementary stage of the Word. (1~2)
※ Basic teachings, namely, “Let go of the basics of the way of Christ and go on to perfection.”
※ What is the basic teaching of Christ (basic teaching on salvation)?
① We must not remain on the doctrine of repenting of dead works.
* We must repent of the dead deeds of this world, but since we have repented, we must rejoice in Christ and move toward maturity through salvation.
② We must not stay on the teachings of faith about God. You must continue to grow in all the teachings.
③ We must not dwell on the precepts of the meaning of baptism and the necessity of being baptized.
* You must believe and be baptized. It is a sign and a guarantee of true discipleship.
④ We must not remain in the teaching of the laying on of hands.
* The laying on of hands is a symbol of being called to serve.
⑤ We must not dwell on the teaching of the resurrection of the dead.
* We must go out to know the Word of God
⑤ We must not dwell on the lessons of eternal judgment
* We must learn to rest in the assurance that Christ gives us. You have to move on to maturity.
(Matthew 5:48; Eph 4:11-15; Col 1:28; Acts 20:32; 2 Corinthians 9:10; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 1 Timothy 4:15;...)
2). You must grow in Christ. (3)
※ “I will do this” If God permits, we must shout “I will do this”.
※ We must make a decision. We must grow and mature in Christ.
* To do this, we must receive God's presence and His power.
2. Fear not to fall (4-8)
※ This is one of the most severe warnings. At the same time, it is one of the subjects of controversy.
※ 4 interpretations of the text
① It is an opinion viewed as a hypothesis.
* Falling apart from Christ is just a erroneous idea.
② It is the view that salvation can be lost after being saved.
* It is said that saved people can lose their salvation by falling into sin or falling into apostasy.
③ It is interpreted that it is an unbeliever or a false confession.
* It is difficult to accept in light of verses 4-5.
④ There is an interpretation of the forsaken believer.
* By deliberately committing many sins, they harden themselves, and even no remorse for their mistakes.
One). Believers have privileges (4-5)
※ The glorious experiences and privileges that those people received in Christ were ① illuminated at once. ② Taste the heavenly gifts. ③ Becoming a partaker of the Holy Spirit. ④ Taste the good word of God. ⑤ Taste the power in the afterlife.
2) There is a warning that it is impossible for a fallen person to repent. (6)
※ Pay attention to what the Bible says
① The Bible says “I can’t”.
* If a believer falls, it is impossible for him to repent again.
② The Bible uses the word “fallen”.
* Take the wrong way leave. it means to get out
③ The Bible speaks of renewing people and turning them back to repentance.
* These people have left the point of repentance.
※ What hardened them to the point of not repenting?
* “For they crucified the Son of God again, and brought it to shame in public.”
* They continue to sin, disobey, and rebel against Christ. never repenting.
3). The meaning of the warning is foreordained. (7-8)
※ This is a simple illustration of the land cultivated by a vineyard keeper or farmer.
① Good sugar absorbs the rain and produces fruits and grains for those who plow and care for the land.
* Believers receive the Word of God and bear fruit for God, Christ, ministers, and teachers.
② Bad ground also absorbs rain, but it produces thorns and thistles.
* Bad land is forsaken and prone to curses. The last one becomes a fire.
3. Remember encouragement and judgment (9-10)
※ Believers must be careful not to become too corrupt to repent.
One). Encouragement is love and confidence in people (9)
① “Beloved ones” The servants of God called them lovers.
② “I am sure of you” The servant of God showed great confidence to them.
③ “What belongs to salvation” God's servants expect them to act as saved ones.
※ When a believer falls, he not only hurts himself, but also hurts Christ and everyone who loves us.
2). The God of Justice remembers and judges.
※ They were given a severe warning because they could not grow in the Lord and were weak and likely to fall.
※ God really cares about those in need.
※ God's justice is
① You are not dishonest. ②You see everything. ③ Gives a reward commensurate with the effort and hard work of love.
※ The God of justice will remember our love for Him or our love for our neighbor and will judge us
◎ Conclusion:
