[Summary of speech]
When Hudson Taylor, the father of a missionary in China, successfully completed his missionary work in China, many aspiring missionaries asked him the secret, and he answered:
“Man seeks a way, but God’s way is man.”
God is still looking for people, and when he finds a man after God's heart, he wants to use him. He wants to find people who worship in spirit and in truth and use them as tools.
Today we are going to talk about the people God is looking for.
At first, God sought Saul, the first king of Israel, but when he disobeyed with pride, he was rejected. After that, he was looking for a man after God's eyes. He was David.
Psalm 89:20 I have sought my servant David, and I have anointed him with my holy oil.
Then why did God choose David from among the many as the second king of Israel?
first. David was a man whose heart was on God.
Saul was a man from God. So God commanded Samuel to go to Jesse in Bethlehem and anoint his son.
Seven of the eight sons were in the house. From the first son to the seventh, he looked like he deserved to be a king because of his handsome appearance, but God did not choose them.
David, the ninth son, went out to tend the sheep, and when he came in, he was short and black.
People look at the outward appearance, but I am God who looks at the heart. He anointed him and made him king.
Being centered on God means that the focus of your life is on God.
What is at your heart? Are all the focus of your life on God?
If we believe in God and worship Him, but live according to our own will and lusts in the world, it is packaged as if the center is in God on the outside, but it is not God-centered life.
No matter what the center of my heart is, it's wrapped up and hard to know, but at the decisive moment, I'm supposed to follow my instincts. When a war broke out with the Philistines in Israel, a general named Goliath appeared and no one was able to resist, and the young David appeared with a stick and five slings in his hand and said, “You come by sword and javelin, but I rely on the name of the Lord of hosts. Just as he confronted with the confession, “I will come out”, it was because God was always in the heart of David that gave David courage when everyone else ran away in a moment of crisis.
What goes into my mind?
Sin is the Hebrew word for "himaltia". It means the arrow misses the target.
It is only the result that the arrow misses the target. But the cause is that the aim is wrong.
It means that even though we are outwardly packaged, if our minds are aimed at the world, the consequences are bound to go wrong.
God wants to use people who have God at the center.
Please remember that God wants to hear people who act with God's will in mind, no matter what they do.
second. David was an obedient man.
The word obedience can be used in any convenient situation, but it is extremely difficult to obey in extreme situations or situations where life is threatened.
God uses those who obey in difficult times.
At first, King Saul of Israel obeyed and was used as king, but later he disobeyed and was cast away.
When Saul wins the war against Amalek, he promises to destroy all his property.
We won with God's help and destroyed all of our opponent's property, but when we saw the fattened livestock, I felt a waste. So, thinking that it would be good to take some of it and give it to God, he disobeyed God and God destroys him.
David was obedient even at the decisive moment.
Saul became jealous when God chose David to anoint him, and Saul became jealous and tried to kill David.
David was terrified of death, and he ran away and had to go through all sorts of hardships to survive. Meanwhile, David had two chances to kill Saul, but David did not kill him because he was the anointed of God.
Because he obeyed God's word to the end, God chose David like that.
There are many such people in the Bible.
Elijah was a layman, but he made a mark in the history of Israel because he obeyed God thoroughly.
Declare from the sky that there will be no rain for 3 years and 6 months and let them go to the city of Grit.
Then, when I commanded him to go to the uninhabited brook Cherit and hide, he obeyed the word in a place where no one was there.
And when the drought reached its extreme, when he ordered that the widow of Zarephath, who had no food, go to hide and hide. Just as Elijah obeyed God's word in all circumstances, and God used Elijah as he obeyed God's word in every circumstance.
third. David was listened to because he was faithful and faithful.
God uses faithful people.
David was very sincere. When Samuel went to Jesse's house to anoint, he stayed in the house from the first to the seventh, but the youngest David was out in the field and tending the sheep.
He also listens to people who are faithful.
Time will tell whether the person is faithful or not.
When I first saw him, he was a really trustworthy person, but as time goes on, there are people who think that he is not. However, there are people who were not at first, but become more and more recognized over time.
David was faithful.
Afterwards, it took twenty years for him to be recognized by everyone.
All the kings in the Bible were soon anointed to become kings, but David was faithful enough to be recognized as king by all the people of Israel.
Another such person is Joseph.
How faithfully did you work when you were sold into slavery in Potiphar's house in Egypt?
I entrusted him with the keys of his house and all the warehouses.
Also, when I was imprisoned, I was recognized by the guards.
When he is faithful like this, God will pick him up and use him.
Today is Children's Day.
It is the desire of all parents for their children to be used by God.
Then, the children's center must be on God, and for that, home education is important.
Like David, I believe that if we educate our children so that their center of gravity is on God, even in extreme situations, they will be greatly used like David when they grow up.
