Title: God the Creator/Job 26:1-14
Content Job 26:1-14
Creator God
##### 1. You spread the universe into the air
Verse 7 of the text said, <He stretched out the northern sky...>.
This means that he created the entire universe in the firmament. The northern sky here seems to come from the idea that a great constellation stretched out in the northern hemisphere. In fact, astronomers say our universe was formed about 20 billion years ago. And it is said that there are about 100 billion galaxies with about 100 billion stars scattered within it. By the way, the star here refers to the sun-like star that has many planets and moons in our solar system. If you look at it this way, you can't help but say that the number of stars in the entire universe is more than the sand on the beach.
But, how vast is the universe if the space occupied by all the stars is only one trillionth of a trillionth of the empty space? In addition, the explosion of supernova stars creates about 1,000 sun-sized stars on the edge of the universe every second, continues to expand, and on the other hand, shrinks as much as that. ?
Saints!
This is the amazing universe that God created. So, why did God create such a vast and wonderful universe? Perhaps it was none other than to show that God exists in this world. And to be glorified through this universe. Yes. The universe clearly shows God's wondrous craftsmanship and His profound will. And it also shows the majesty of God that much.
Nevertheless, how could a man who is nothing more than a piece of dust raise his shoulders and say what he knows? Do you dare to condemn others recklessly, like God's representative? That is why anyone must be humble before God.
##### 2. The earth was put into space
Verse 7 of the text says...< He put the earth into space.>
This word reminds us of a ball that is quickly suspended in the air. Nowhere else has there been such a splendid, pictorial representation of this mass of our planet in motion in the atmosphere.
In fact, in the Middle Ages, before Copernicus and Galileo came up with the heliocentric theory, people generally understood the Earth as a fixed, flattened square. And I only knew that there was a cliff at the far end of the sea on this earth. So, how surprising is it that Job, known as man, a few thousand years ago described the earth as hanging from space?
So some like Stanley Liaches even referred to Job's description as 'the marvelous premise of modern astronomy'.
After all, when viewed from outside the atmosphere, the Earth will look like a ball suspended in mid-air. --According to the words of the satellite passengers who have been to the moon, the green earth is not so beautiful that it is impossible to look at it without admiring it. Astronomers agree that Earth is the only planet in the solar system inhabited by life, at least one step outside the solar system. So, it can be said that the earth was created by God with the most suitable conditions for all living things, including humans, to survive.
Saints!
Then, shouldn't we be thankful to God for making such a wonderful land (Psalm 136:6)?
##### 3. Big water wrapped in a cloud
Verse 8...<You wrap water in a dense cloud, but the cloud beneath it is not torn.>
These words are truly moving words, like a verse of a poem, expressing natural phenomena operating within God's providence. In fact, in ancient times, there were many poetic examples of natural phenomena that God provided. What a marvelous idea, indeed, to describe the cloud as an indestructible skin.
That's right. Water is an essential element not only for humans but also for the survival of many living things.
Saints!
According to biologists, there are approximately 2 million species of living things on this land. But not one of them can survive even for a moment without water. But how could this not be a mysterious touch, as God puts such precious water in a cloud, carries it diligently throughout the year, and sprinkles it evenly?
Therefore, we should thank God for such a hand.
--The importance of water --Motor failure, no use of water
A suspicious person asked.
?쏦ow can you be sure that God exists???"When I look up at the sky and look at the sun and the moon and the stars, I can't deny that someone has put them there. That's why I believe in God. Who else can do that?"
And then he says:
Sometimes we hear the voice of God through creation. Even so, you should realize that it is only a very small part of what Job said in the text, 'a very small voice' (v. 14).
And trust and love God. Because God loves you and gave you all of this.
