2. God the Father
John 20:17 "Jesus said to him, "Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go to my brothers and say, I am ascending to my Father and your Father and my God and your God."
② However, in both the Old and New Testaments, God is seen to rule His creation and creation through providential care.
③ God is leading the flow of human history according to His purpose of salvation.
④ This is evidenced in God's choice of Abraham and Israel's relationship to his descendants, the nation of Israel, and other nations.
⑤ God's holy work is shown in history, and from this point of view, we can see that God is directly leading the work of people and nations to achieve the purpose of salvation.
⑥ As the Father, God is infinite in love, power, and wisdom.
⑦ As a Father, God cares for all his creations.
⑧ The clear relationship to God as Father came through Jesus.
⑨ Jesus called God his Father. And he told his disciples that God was their father.
⑩ This characteristic is clearly shown in John 20:17. “I ascend to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.”
⑪ Jesus is essentially and forever the Son of God.
⑫ People became sons of God by believing in Jesus Christ.
⑬ God is the Father of the universe is a beautiful ideal, but it is not.
⑭ All people are God's creations, but not all are children of God.
⑮ God is fatherly in his attitude toward all people.
16 God wants all human beings to be His children.
17 But God is a true Father only to those who have become his people through faith in his Son.
