Text - Psalm 73:28

Title - God the Only Refuge

The blessed saints who have received forgiveness of sins through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ hope for the eternal life that God has promised.

As a sinner, man had no interest in eternal life, but God made him known about eternal life through grace, and he hoped for the completion of salvation and eternal life in the eternal kingdom of God.

The eternal hope that believers possess has the power to boldly hope for the kingdom of God in the midst of persecution and temptation in the world.

Because this is the promise of God who chooses and calls us, justifies those whom he has called, and glorifies those who justify us.

Yehwa-Grandpa

Grandfather is the name of my granddaughter who is 1 year and 6 months old. How lovely and beautiful my granddaughter is every time I say "Grandpa"... . I always leave my door open for my granddaughter. When my granddaughter says “grandfather” when she is sick, she hugs her and prays for her to heal. He hugs and helps when he is “grandfather” holding an object that is too hard. When they cry and cry “grandfather” when they are rebuked by adults, they hug and support them. Rather, they rebuke and comfort adults in front of children. The grandfather is a refuge for the granddaughter, the name of the Almighty, the rock, the rock, the doctor, and the perfect helper. At least for the granddaughter who believes in her grandfather and calls on her grandfather, the grandfather is everything. Only then do I realize the meaning of the name of Jehovah and that those who call on it will be saved (Romans 10:13).

1. Relying only on God who is the city of refuge

Believers believe and depend on God's promises to live.

The kingdom of God is promised to the saints. What the saints long for is the glory of this kingdom of God.

However, even though the saints are promised the kingdom of God, they may be weak and fall into the challenges of the world.

Saints need safe guides and shelter from threats.

God is the city of refuge for the saints.

The city of refuge was a place where an unintentional murderer among the people of Israel could safely keep their life until a fair trial by a priest or elder.

The fact that God becomes the city of refuge for the saints means that when the saints rely on God, they are safe even if they face challenges, persecutions, and threats from the world.

God set the saints apart from sin and death, and promised to protect and guide them until they come into the kingdom of God.

Therefore, believers who believe in this promise can travel safely to the kingdom of God by relying on God.

Yehwa-Majino Line

Prior to World War II, France established a permanent defensive position against German attack. The Maginot Line was named after Andr  Maginot, the then French Army Minister. France worked hard for 10 years starting in 1927 to build this fortress, and made full use of its topography by taking advantage of its experiences during World War I.

A double steel frame wall to prevent the intrusion of tanks, a barbed wire fence to block infantry, and a 6m diameter concrete wall were installed. The power generation room, ammunition storage room, operation room communication line, etc. were also installed deep underground, and at the time, it was an impregnable fortress.

2. Relying on the Holy and Holy Lord

To say that the saints go to God, the city of refuge, is also the same as saying that they enter the Most Holy by relying on Christ Jesus.

The Most Holy is the dwelling place of God's presence.

However, the Israelites could not enter the Most Holy, the dwelling place of God's presence.

Human beings who have sinned cannot approach God.

However, because Jesus Christ forgave our sins and reconciled our separation from God, we can come to God if we rely on Him.

In other words, believers can approach God, who has become the city of refuge, by relying on Christ.

Through the holiness of Christ, believers can enter the safe arms of God from the sinful world.

The saints are holy beings who have firmly anchored their souls in Jesus Christ in the Most Holy of Heaven.

That is why this anchor of the soul can never take away any being in the world. Even if the saints are a little swayed by the wavering waves, they are not swayed by the waves.

In this way, the saints chosen and saved by God do not lose the grace of salvation.

Moreover, the promise that God has guaranteed by His faithfulness has become an eternal hope for the saints.

God has guaranteed this.

Therefore, we must become saints who achieve our hopes by persevering until the end, relying on God, who is our eternal hope, and never giving up.
