Title: God Who Wants to Bear Much Fruit

Bible: John 15:1-8

Starting Point of the Word>>

Today, this time I would like to share a sermon with the title of “God desires to bear much fruit.”

God's heart is like a farmer, and we are like the fruit trees he grows.

So, when we bear much fruit, like a farmer, we are satisfied and happy, but when we do not bear fruit, it hurts us and we feel sorry for it.

Today's text is the parable of the vine as we know it well. The vine is a vine rather than a tree.

This means that since the vine is a vine, it is not a tree that can be used for ornamental purposes or timber, it is not a tree that can be used as firewood, and it is not a tree that can be rotted and used as manure.

Only this vine is a tree that exists for its grapes.

Jesus says that the reason Jesus redeemed us with the blood of the cross to make us children of God is “because it bears fruit only.”

God wants us to be happy in spirit and body.

He wants us to live a blessed life, and we want our children to do well.

So, Jesus gives his conclusion through the words of verse 15:16,

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you may go and bear fruit, and that your fruit may endure, that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will receive it.”

You said.

Go to Word>>

Through today's text, if we share the word about the fruit that God wants us to have

First, what kind of fruit should we bear? is to do

If we look at the words of verse 2,

“Every branch attached to me that does not bear fruit, the Father takes away it; and every branch that bears fruit he purifies so that it may bear more fruit.”

According to this verse, there are three kinds of branches of trees: some that do not bear fruit, some that bear fruit, and some that bear more fruit.

What fruit tree would not want to bear fruit?

However, just because you are greedy and say, “You must bear many good fruits,” does not mean that you will bear fruit.

Because when a tree becomes a good tree, good fruit automatically bears.

So if you sow good seeds, you will reap good fruits; if you sow bad seeds, you will reap bad fruits.

A good tree bears good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit.

How obvious is this truth?

However, the problem is that since the tree grows into a bad tree and promises to bear good fruit, there are cheaters, liars, and hypocrites.

Because we are children of God, everyone is a good tree.

Therefore, we are naturally destined to bear good fruit.

Why?

Because God is the farmer, Jesus is the tree, and we are the branches of that tree.

This is verse 5 of the text.

“I am the vine, and you are the branches; if he abides in me and I in him, a man bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”

We cannot do anything apart from Jesus, and we cannot bear any good fruit apart from Jesus.

This is the person of Jesus, the Christian.

Guys, what is the fruit of the Jesus tree?

Galatians 5:22-23 says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”

There are nine fruits of the Spirit mentioned here.

However, all of them are the personal fruits of Jesus, and are not plural, but singular.

In other words, these nine fruits taste different, but they all come from the same person of Jesus.

However, besides the fruit of this personality, there are other fruits of Jesus.

It is the fruit of ministry that is produced when we do the work that Jesus is pleased with. It is the fruit of evangelism produced by preaching Jesus, the fruit of devotion to Jesus, the good fruit produced by helping our neighbors in need, and worshiping and praising Jesus. It is the fruit of worship that comes from doing this, and it is the fruit of the answer that comes from praying to the Lord.

In this way, in the fruit of Jesus, there is the fruit of the Holy Spirit, which is produced by resembling Jesus, and there is the fruit of the work produced by doing the work of Jesus.

second. God's desire is for us to bear abundant fruit.

If we look at verse 8,

“My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, and you will be my disciples.”

The surprising thing is that God has never commanded us to “bear fruit,” while expecting so much fruit.

Just as a vine branch attaches itself to the vine, it automatically produces grapes, so as long as we remain attached to Jesus, the fruit of Jesus will automatically bear.

Likewise, the fruit of our character or the fruit of our ministry is not something we strive for.

So, there is one word that appears the most in today's text.

It means “abide in me”.

Therefore, our religious life is not a struggle to be bound with Jesus and strive to abide in Jesus, rather than constantly beating our hearts and worrying about not bearing fruit.

If we look at verse 4 of the text,

“Remain in me, and I will abide in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me.”

Ladies and gentlemen, here is the crossroads between our Christianity and other religions.

Other religions, especially Buddhism, are “a religion of self-reliance in which I achieve salvation, I become a Buddha, and I cultivate the Way and bear fruit.”

However, Christianity is thoroughly “a religion of inertia that is saved by Jesus.”

In verse 1, he summed up this great truth in one word, saying, “I am the true vine, and my Father is a farmer.”

In other words, it is God the Father who planted the vine.

It is God who weeds, fertilizes, and takes care of the vineyard.

Also, it is God who nurtures and brings forth fruit.

Therefore, it is Christianity that God saves us by grace and allows us to bear abundant fruit.

Therefore, here is the principle of our faith on this earth, in which we absolutely trust in God's farming skills, who is the true farmer, and believe in the power and disposition of Jesus, who is the true vine, and fight to stay attached to Jesus.

If I tie my prayer topic and Jesus, the abundant fruits of answers will be produced.

If I bind my children and Jesus, the fruits of Jesus will be produced in them.

If I bind my church to Jesus, the fruit of Jesus will abound in the church.

By tying Jesus to the sickness of my family, an amazing work of healing takes place.

So, are you troubled because you cannot forgive or love someone?

If so, stop worrying about it right now and love Jesus.

Then, the fruit of Jesus, the fruit of forgiveness, and the fruit of love will come naturally.

Third, we must become believers who focus on Jesus in order to bear abundant fruit.

Jesus Tree, Jesus Fruit! This is the goal of our religious life.

Nevertheless, sometimes I experience the pain of being cut off from my precious things.

Why?

Guys, look at the farmer cultivating the orchard.

The farmer is willing to prune the fruit tree branches in early spring to get more fruit, to get the best fruit.

Likewise, this is the reason why God allows suffering, suffering, and tribulation for our members.

It is not to be bound by our vain world, but to stay close to Jesus, who is the true vine, and to seek the fruit of Jesus and live.

In 2 Corinthians 1:9, Paul says, “We knew that we ourselves were condemned to death, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead. ” he confessed.

That's right.

This is why sometimes our life path is blocked.

Therefore, when you are struggling and struggling, lift up your eyes and look to God.

And pray to that God with all your heart.

Then, like Paul, you will surely experience amazing answers.

Guys, is your life too complicated?

Then just focus on what's important.

Although Jesus did many things while he was on earth, there were many more things he did not do.

Jesus didn't build the tallest buildings, he didn't build the best organizations, he didn't gather the best crowds.

Jesus was dedicated only to the crucifixion and disciple-making.

So the more complex my life is, the more I need to focus on what's important and keep it simple.

At the end of the speech>>

Organize your words.

God wants us to bear much fruit.

The fruit does not signify any success or achievement in this world.

It is the fruit of the Holy Spirit that is produced only in Jesus Christ.

We must cling to Jesus and become believers who bear the fruit of Christ.

In the name of the Lord, I pray in the name of the Lord that the life given to us will become a precious life that bears many beautiful and precious fruits.
