Title: God Who Fulfills
I am the vine and you are the branches; if he is in me and I in him, this man bears much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. They gather it and throw it into the fire, and it is consumed. If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
It's admission season.
How can we Christians know all the will of God? So why not pray? Also, praying doesn't mean you can know everything. Then why pray? Because if you pray, the time will come when you will know that your prayer will come true. But sometimes I hear this. There are those who say, "I prayed because I was told to pray, but none of my prayers came true." Today I will speak again about prayer for such people.
1. How can we pray properly? is to do
All those who were used by God were able to achieve all things within God's providence by meeting God through prayer. However, there are many believers who pray a lot but do not know the meaning of it. In the words of the Bible, 'Ask for anything, and it will be done for you' or 'Nothing is impossible for those who believe', just as the general shaman religion seeks for its own self-interest, many people think that way.
In shamanism (巫俗信仰), when humans reach a point that cannot be solved, they go to a shaman and perform a rite to appease the wrath of the gods with sacrifices. After performing a rite like that, the god is sent back, and he returns to his daily life and lives as the main body.
Then, if something happens that you can't solve by yourself, you repeat the same thing again. In most cases, shamanism seeks God when disaster strikes or when sick. This is often passed down to us Christians as well. Prayer is often understood this way. When we reach any disaster, disease, failure, or extreme situation, we can’t do it God
There are a lot of cases where I come out in front of me and pray. All of these prayers are prayers for one's request to be granted. Prayer is not a means for man to move God, but an act of trusting and surrendering himself to God's plan. We need to make this clear. In order for our Christian faith not to become superstitious, we must first know this and pray. Those who go to the temple are the same as those who have not yet reached the level of essential Buddhism, bowing in front of Chilseonggak.
2. Prayers must first have .
“If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”
The word here means to keep and follow.
It means never leaving and always trying to live by . In that case, he told me to save anything. Then he said it would be done. In order to do that, you have to value it.
Saving without it is no different from saving a shaman. You have to become this subject and seek what he leads, but if you don't have any, and you only make your own claims and demands, it's a monologue, not a dialogue. Prayer is a conversation with God. Therefore, the Lord also taught us to pray like this: “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
Whose meaning is the meaning? It is God's will. I don't mean it.
However, we often say that we are only unilaterally speaking our own assertions and requests without this mind. Some people say they prayed in groups. Of course, we can pray that way because God is a God who is merciful to us, but that is not the original meaning of prayer.
What do you call this? The Word must come over my thoughts.
Let me guide you on my path. Then the Word will evaluate me. It allows you to judge right and wrong.
Wisdom from God is opened to those who try to live by this way. Whatever the circumstances, the Word gives us wisdom. It seems like a coincidence, but it does give you a chance.
☞ Psalm 50:15 says, “Call on me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver you, and you will glorify me.” He told us to call on the day of trouble, so we will pray by relying on the Word.
☞ In Matthew 5:24, it is said, “Leave your gift in front of the altar, and go first and be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.” It's possible. If not, prayer will not come out. That is a saint who is captivated by the Word.
☞ Psalm 37:25 says, "From my youth to old age, I have never seen the righteous forsaken, or their descendants begging for food." The righteous here means saved saints. It is saying that the descendants of those who obeyed the word did not see them living as beggars. So naturally, we pray for our descendants.
☞ Also, Psalm 119:165 says, “Great peace are those who love Your law, and no obstacle will be found in them.” What is the state law? It is the teaching of God. He said that for those who love the word, there will be no obstacles automatically. In this way, he said that if the word of God is asked of anyone who dwells in his heart, it will be done for him. Therefore, it becomes a prayer in itself.
If the Word dwells in your heart, you will have the ability to overcome yourself. Instead of looking for a solution to the problem outside, you find it within yourself. Most people are prone to resent others when they are in a difficult situation.
3. A mature prayer is a prayer that follows the providence of God.
Prayer (祈禱) is not about wanting things to happen according to your thoughts, but real prayer is about realizing and discovering God's will. If only God's will is discovered, it is because he already has the key to solving the problem. Realizing God's plan and providence to be accomplished through me is mature prayer.
Once upon a time, the prophet Habakkuk asked this question because he did not know the will of God.
“Why should the wicked prosper, and the righteous oppressed?”
“Why do you allow justice to be perverted, because the law has become lax and justice is not enforced, and the wicked surround the righteous?”
There was a time when we asked such a question as if it were our reality today.
And I waited for God's answer. But what did the prophet Habakkuk later realize? I realized that God is not a God who never leaves evil as it is, but he pays attention to everything. It means that you have come to know God's providence and plan. So what did he say?
Habakkuk 3:17-18, “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, I will rejoice in the LORD. And I will rejoice in the God of my salvation."
If the word of God dwells in my heart in this way, it becomes clear what it means that whatever you ask will be done.
All of the fulfilling prayers in the Bible have had this experience. Hannah is the representative. It was God's work that Hannah could not conceive. (1 Samuel 1:6)
This is because there was God's plan to replace Eli's ministry with Samuel later. Therefore, we must first seek wisdom so that we can know what God wants. If you ask in that way, God will show you His will and guide you on that path through experience.
If the Word dwells in our heart, the Word will guide us each time. Therefore, prayer is not about asking according to my request, but depending on God's will, and through prayer, we realize what God's will is. If that happens, prayer will appear as an entrustment to understand God's will and to obey it according to His way, rather than to reveal our wishes.
Therefore, prayer should be called entrustment.
Psalm 37:5 says, “Commit your way to the Lord, trust in him, and he will do it, and he will make your righteousness shine like the noonday light, your justice as the noonday light. Commitment is prayer. How can God accomplish what we cannot entrust?
Therefore, prayer is an entrustment of trust. Dear saints!
We may still trust ourselves more than God.
Perhaps I still value my own abilities more than prayer. Maybe I'm still more dependent on my friends, people I know. At the same time, we need to reflect deeply on whether God sees us as the ultimate guardian.
In fact, to this day, there are many cases where we say we pray before God, but we still do not have the experience of prayer. True prayer has no air ticket. True prayer is like a check. Because it is the word of God's promise. Because God is not a mockery of weak people. This is because God is not someone who easily overturns or prophesies your words. Once a promise is made by God, it never changes.
That's why Hymn 455 says, "My covenant with my Lord is everlasting, and He always protects you until the end of the kingdom." In the chorus, he said, "Praise the Lord, hallelujah, hallelujah, even though the road ahead is long and rough, I will only follow the Lord." What a meaningful hymn!
I sincerely hope that all of us will become true prayers and become believers who live while experiencing God's walk in real life.♣
