Title: God Who Gives Fruit
People often use the term 'causal retribution' when referring to the outcome of something.
Because we believe that every effect must have a cause.
Beans from planting beans and red beans from planting beans are an irresistible principle of nature, and human affairs are no different.
Fruit is the result of this action, and the ultimate subject of that action is God, not man.
So Jesus clearly taught us what to do first and what to do later.
It says, “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.”
His kingdom here is the kingdom of God, and his righteousness is that of the kingdom of heaven.
♣ Seek the kingdom of God and righteousness
To seek God's righteousness or not to worry about tomorrow does not mean to be irresponsible or unplanned about the work entrusted to me now.
More than anyone else, Christians must be faithful and able to make a thorough plan for the task entrusted to them.
What distinguishes Christians from the world is not in the kind of work they do, but in the purpose and motive of doing it.
In order to overcome anxiety, we should not change what we are doing or stop doing what we are doing, but think of God and come forward with a new attitude.
Illustration - Fruitless Christian
One day, after a Sunday morning service, a sister came to me and confessed this.
“I have been a Christian for 20 years.
In the meantime, I have read many books that talk about how to lead people to the Lord.
No one has been led to the Lord through me yet.
I memorized all the Bible verses. They also know how to deal with objections.
Still, I've never even made other people welcome.
Why did I become so useless?"
My answer surprised her.
“You are a fruitless Christian because your eyes are dry.”
"What do you mean?" “You failed not because you lack knowledge, but because you lack love for people.
If you really love someone. You will truly care for him and lay down your life for him.
Psalm 26:6 has this promise. .
He who goes out weeping and goes out to sow seed will take the altar and return with joy.”
When she returned home, she read the Word and prayed.
As I prayed, my heart strangely heated up, and the image of my unbelieving sister came to my mind vividly.
She got up and went to her sister.
He hugged his brother with tears in his eyes and said with love.
“My greatest hope in this world is that you become a Christian.”
Together they attended the service that evening.
And let the pastor invite those who want to know the Lord to come forward.
They walked forward side by side.
1. Giving us our daily bread
Everyone in this world, whether believers or unbelievers, lives by eating the fruits that God gives them.
Few would think that the daily breads we need each day have been obtained purely by human effort.
Although science has advanced and the development of civilization has gone beyond the limits of human imagination, we must know that without God's help, we cannot produce a single grain of wheat.
He provides sunlight and rain, and works with grace to help in time of need, so we can receive the things we need today.
Even if human wisdom develops innovative agricultural technologies, God is still the only supplier of our daily bread.
Yehwa - A life that bears fruit
We are chosen and appointed by God to live a fruitful life.
love. joy. peace. An active and positive attitude like long-suffering should be a part of our lives.
When these are internalized, from then on we can pass on to others.
A common problem we face as Christians. It is not to radiate this positive attitude that will allow us to carry out the mission of light and salt of the world.
There is one story about Germany.
Berlin was divided and East Germany was under communism. This was when West Germany became a free camp.
A group of East Berliners dumped a truckload of garbage into the West Berlin camp.
People in West Berlin thought about picking up the rubbish, loading it into trucks and dumping it back east.
But they decided not to do things that way.
Rather, a dump truck was filled with canned food and non-perishable food, went to East Germany, neatly piled it up, and put up a sign next to it.
“Everyone gives what is in him.”
Isn't this a really cool sermon?
2. Feeding the soul
Two types of food are essential for a person to live.
One is the aforementioned daily bread, that is, food for the body, and the other is the Word of God, food for the soul.
We must not be without either of these two.
Only when both are satisfied can you lead a normal life and fulfill your duty.
The latter is particularly important, and many neglect it.
Because they are indifferent to spiritual matters.
Some don't even want to acknowledge the spiritual realm.
We should have pity on these people.
The secret to happiness is knowing that the unseen are more important than the visible.
Even today, God provides us with abundant food for the soul, but there are very few people who long for it.
The fruit is the result of action, which is obtained by God's action, that is, by grace, before human action.
Many of us are prone to mistaking certain outcomes as rewards for our efforts.
Of course, our efforts must be invested in order to bear fruit.
But more importantly, it is a blessing from God, and we should know it and be grateful for it.
