Title: God Who Gives Good Things

God who gives good things (Matthew 7:7-12)
A team of researchers from the University of Berkeley in the United States conducted an experiment with mice. In one place, one rat was fed and reared, and in another place, five rats were gathered to live together and fed abundantly. In other places, the owner sang songs, stroked them, and fed them by hand. What would have been the result? A rat that lived alone lived for 600 days, a rat that lived with five mice lived for 700 days, and a mouse that was petted and fed with affection lived 950 days.
So are humans. When there is no one to love and no one to be loved, the life span is 600 days. Also, when it comes to human erotic love, the lifespan is 700 days. However, when meeting with the owner, talking with the owner, looking at the owner's face and receiving the love, he can live 950 days. It's not just mice. Scientists say the same goes for all plants. It is said that roses become even more fragrant if the owner always talks about them and nurtures them with love. The colors are said to be brighter. This has already been tested a lot. It is said that all plants are the same. It is said that cultivating with love and cultivating with hatred are completely different, whether it is a grain or a bunch of grass.
Some plants looked at them every day and cursed them, and they withered and died. Whether you test a chicken, a cow, or a pig, it makes a difference if you love an animal. Moreover, man is a creature made in the image of God. What is most important to humans? How do you think we can live like human beings without receiving God's love by escaping from God's love? We must have love. Love is what makes our lives enjoyable, satisfying, and empowering.
We are all loved by God. To be loved, to be loved, to be loved, to be loved. When you love, you will live a long, healthy and happy life. May the new year be filled with God's love. God is not a God of terrible fear. He is not a destructive person who takes away our happiness or joy. God is a God of love who covers our sins and transgressions. He is the one who gives us the best. He gave his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit as gifts. He spares nothing and gives freely. He is someone who can't stand the desire to give more. We are all children of God who believe in such a good God. I wish that 2010 will be a happy year for you to serve the good God who gives you good things.
1. God gives good things to those who pray.
Verses 7-8, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you; for everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” La, knock' means to pray with patience for things that are not answered at once. This threefold imperative is not simply a repeated prayer. This means earnest prayer, and its intensity is gradually strengthened and expressed through actions. It means to pray continuously, but to get stronger. So we can see that God, who knows our needs, is asking for prayer. We must ask of God with perseverance and perseverance, and God wants us to train ourselves through these demands. Since the truth of God is not easily understood by a dull human mind, we must know that we cannot obtain good things unless we dedicate our precious devotion to it, just like digging gold ore and smelting gold.
There are four taboos that we must let go of when we pray.
First, we must let go of our worries. Philippians 4:6 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” When we pray, we must surrender all our worries to God and pray.
Second, we must cast away discouragement. Luke 18:1 tells us to pray always and never lose heart. Don't be discouraged and keep praying.
Third, we must abandon our doubts. James 1:6-7 says, “But ask in faith, and do not doubt at all. He who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. The devil keeps making you suspicious. So they give up on prayer or make them rest. It makes you fall into temptation while praying.
Fourth, we must give up greed. James 4:3 says, “You ask, and you do not receive, because you ask erroneously, to spend it on your lusts.” It means not to pray with greed. When greed enters, conflicts, loud noises, fights, and wars arise. When you cast off greed, peace will come and you will hear the voice of God.
There was an old rich man who had five children, and they both agreed to take care of their father. Five siblings were scolded to be filial to each other. One day, my father called the five children and showed me a will, saying that when I died, I would return all of my fortune to society. Then, the color of the faces of the sons and daughters changed quickly. They told each other to come to their house, but in an instant, all of their hearts left. He is trying to avoid seeing his father by giving various excuses. But then the youngest son came out. He said he would take care of him if the brothers didn't take him, and he asked his father to understand even if it was a little uncomfortable because his family was in bad shape. A month later, the father sent the youngest son a bag. The bag contained some of the money my father had left behind. In the end, only the youngest son who loved his father without coveting for it could receive his father's inheritance. When serving God, we must not cling to selfish greed. I hope you have a sincere heart before God and love unchangingly.
Let's all pray more in the new year. Let the church lay leaders and officers take the lead in prayer. Teachers, choirs, district leaders, and all the volunteers, let's fulfill our missions through prayer. When we pray and serve, we change and others change. You will be filled with grace and power. Good things abound. It will be enriched. will be reconciled. A miracle will happen. The power of prayer transcends everything. We have already experienced the miracle of prayer, and let's taste God's blessings by praying more patiently and forcefully. Nothing is ever done except prayer. Let us not commit the sin of ceasing to pray. I pray that you will become a praying church, family, and person of prayer and receive the good things God gives you.
2. God gives good things to those who believe.
Verses 9-11, “Who among you whose son asks for bread will give him a stone or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a snake? Won't you give me something good?"
Even though there are evil parents in the world, there is no parent who will give the son a stone when he asks for bread or a snake when he asks for a fish. All parents will give their children bread or fish, not stones or snakes, even if they ask for something wrong. What is good for each person is different. Children and the elderly will be different. Varies depending on your needs. You can't compare or force what's good. Children may like toys and older adults may like healthy foods. God gives each and every person the best. It is given to those who believe in God and not to anyone. Faith is a gift and a way to receive gifts. God gives to His children “good things” that contain both spiritual and material aspects to the believer. God is the greatest gift to those who believe. If you believe in God, He will give you everything you need both physically and spiritually.
Wannamaker (1838-1922), a pioneer in the American department store industry, said that when he was offered the post of postal secretary, he would accept it only if he guaranteed him to continue as a church school teacher. In the end, he went to a church that was four hours away from Washington and thoroughly served as a church school teacher.
Former US President Jimmy Carter also never broke a Sunday. No matter how good the White House may be, it is not a place that gives the living water of the soul. You can receive living water when you come to the temple and pray before God. Elder Kim Jung-kwon, who served as the president's chief of staff, said he was appointed chief of staff without even thinking about it. After receiving my appointment, I went to the president and told him that I must go to church on Sundays because I am an elder of the church. How difficult is it to be away for even a day with the President being the closest to you? However, when I told him that I had to keep only Sundays in order to serve a God who is higher than the president, the president willingly granted permission. Many church members leave the church if there is no profit for them.
It is said that when a company recruits new employees, people who say they are Christian were asked the question, “If you join our company, it will be difficult to keep Sundays. But what is surprising is that most people say that they can go out in the evening after work or just believe in their hearts. These are people who give up their faith to get a job. If you believe in God well, He will surely give you good things. We must not use God as a tool or method to obtain good things. Under no circumstances should we distance ourselves from or forsake God. Even if everything in the world shakes and changes, we must not become like Esau or Judas Iscariot, who betray God and leave. I pray that you will receive and enjoy good things by believing in God better.
3. God gives good things to those who treat them.
Verse 12 “Therefore, in whatever way you would like others to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.” This verse is well-known as the so-called golden rule. The positive and positive aspect is the originality and character of the Christian precepts. ‘How you would like to be treated’ doesn’t mean to give exactly and receive exactly the same amount of good deeds. It is a message to awaken people, who are essentially selfish beings, that others expect of them as much as they expect of others. The phrase ‘treat others’ means that we should humbly show love first, rather than putting each other’s claims first. Those who pray and believe must bear the fruits of service and service. You must have leadership skills. The practice of serving and love is the image of Jesus and the fulfillment of the law. Believers must show the world their transformed love and service. God grants even better things to these saints.
Dear all!
In the new year, let me take the lead in praying, trusting, and serving. I pray that you will become a saint who receives better things by serving God who gives good things.
