Title: God Who Gives Grace
Bible - Romans 16:20
One of the most used words in the church is the term ‘grace’.
Grace is another expression of God's love, an euphemism of arbitrary, positive grace given to the undeserving.
Unlike things, this grace of God is not something that can be judged as a value, nor is it like a transaction between humans.
Grace does not require any price or price.
If there is anything we need, it can be said that it is faith that responds to God's grace.
Then, let's take a closer look at what the grace of God is.
1. Grace from God's Sovereignty
God gives special spiritual gifts for the healing of physical ailments.
However, we are living in an age where spiritual diseases are more problematic than physical diseases.
Physical sickness ruins our bodies, but spiritual sickness brings ruin to everything.
Crime, heartache, dull and deaf ears, and human betrayal are manifestations of spiritual hunger and spiritual disease.
God wants to heal these people, and He also heals them.
“I will heal you, and I will heal your wounds” (Jeremiah 30:17).
God can heal any spiritual disease.
What man needs is to clearly recognize his condition and come to God in order to enjoy the grace of healing.
Foreshadowing - humiliation and grace
There was a popular singer in the 70's who went to jail for a marijuana case.
He was sentenced to three months in prison, and there he was evangelized by a death row inmate.
Moved by the serious evangelism of the death row prisoner, he accepted Jesus. Then the death row prisoner said, “You will be leaving soon.
If you go out, please do the same for Jesus, including the portion I couldn't do for Jesus."
It is said that the singer thought he was a very good person even when he was in the cell for the marijuana case.
However, when he heard the story of Jesus in front of a death row prisoner, he began to realize how ugly a sinner he was.
It was only when he reached the point of despair about himself that God delivered him from all evil and suffering. I was freed from cannabis.
Do you know why death row inmates are more likely to be saved than judges? Because death row inmates are desperate for themselves.
Do you know why it is easier to go inside and believe in Jesus than when you are outside?
This is because if you go into the cell, the possibility of despairing at you increases that much.
I hope there will be a sincere confession, “Lord, I am a sinner” in front of His words, which declares that we are all under sin.
And may we hold the bloodstained hands of Jesus Christ.
He is the only savior who can deliver us from this despair.
2. Grace given regardless of human deeds
When God created the world, He made no distinction between the wicked and the righteous.
God does not treat people the way people treat people.
If that were the case, there would be no human beings left in the world God created.
Because no one in the world is perfect by his own righteousness.
God gives the grace of nature regardless of human actions.
God's natural grace does not change according to works.
It is given the same yesterday and today, unchanged.
Yehwa - ''Grace'' that covers even the opposing party
One of the opponents exclaimed.
"Where the hell was Christ, and what was he doing when Stephen, a devout believer in the Bible, was stoned to death?"
At that moment, an answer crossed Parker's mind.
It was definitely wisdom from God.
3. Grace as a reward for faith
We cannot be justified by the law.
The law only exposes sin and confirms that it is impossible to attain the righteousness of God.
What, then, can make us righteous?
In Romans 3:25, Paul pointed out that our sins were cleansed by Jesus Christ as our propitiation sacrifice.
That is why we are justified by believing in Christ.
The Bible clearly testifies that our justification is given by faith, saying, “In all things in which you were not justified by the law of Moses, through this man everyone who believes is justified” (Acts 13:39). .
Grace is a gift from God and a providence for man.
Grace belongs to the exclusive sovereignty of God.
Human beings flirt with each other's actions, but God grants grace regardless of human actions and waits with patience.
Therefore, if we truly understand the nature of grace, we must faithfully respond to God's grace.
When we faithfully respond to God's grace, we will be able to live in God's grace.
